So sayeth the news services: sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2363242Most relevant parts for us: "With conference tournaments taking place this weekend and the NCAA Tournament scheduled to begin Thursday, the bulletin was sent "out of an abundance of caution," Kolko said."... Madison Square Garden was made aware of the terror threat early Friday. MSG spokesperson Eric Gelfand said the Garden has been under a high-terror alert since Sept. 11, 2001, and said that MSG officials hadn't noticed anything suspicious Friday. He said all patrons were wanded as they entered the Garden for Friday night's Big East semifinals. That last part is BS, I don't know about anyone else but I certainly wasn't wanded, nor was anyone around me. Shaheen wrote that there had been "no imminent, direct or specific threat related to the NCAA Championships," as referenced in some media reports. Shaheen said the NCAA takes the matter seriously and will work with all host and facility partners. That's good, I suppose...unless they're lying but know that releasing that kind of info could have serious economic repercussions... Although I must admit that at times tonight I wished someone would blow up G-Mac. For a minute I thought someone had maybe pulled it off as MSG started smelling of smoke and a cloud of it descended from...somewhere...during the Pitt/Nova game.

I wasn't wanded. I had a bag and all the rent-a-cop did was look inside at the stuff on top. I read this article on my phone at the game. Scared me.
