Temple 61 - GW 50 with 1:21 to play. ;D I can't believe Dan or any Admin RESPONDED to this post. I thought for sure we'd see a "please post this in Games of Interest" post coupled with a lock up.

Looks like this is over - ugly ugly game. Prob makes us a 4 or 5 seed. Too bad but still got hope with Pops back we can play better.
Good luck to you guys the rest of the way through the BET.

Temple tends to make everyone play ugly, Pops. No shame in that. I would probably agree with your 4-5 seed prediction, although more likely as a 5 after this loss (plus committee taking into consideration Pop's injury).

So GW and MD both got punked by Temple... what does that say for GW over MD?

Temple is absolutely a tough team to play. Crazy.

Thanks Baby 'Bridge. What was with all the turnovers? I only caught bits and pieces of the game as I was watching the SU-cks v. You Con game, but ever time I switched over it seemed like your boys were turning the ball over.

I have to think this game would have been different with Pops in. Not saying GW would have necessarily won, but Temple's frontcourt went for 19, 15, and 15, while GW's two forwards had 6 and 5. Probably would have been closer. If Cuse loses in OT, this can't be good news for them.

This was a "hey, let's get another A-10 team in the NCAA tourney" loss...
[note to pops21 - I am not implying intent on GW's part, only results]

Seton Hall's bubble just popped, as predicted.

So GW and MD both got punked by Temple... what does that say for GW over MD? Well, to be fair, so did we last year. This has to be the least surprising upset of the tourney week so far. I loved how all those "bubble teams need to watch games like Temple-GW" segments last night were oozing with the subtext that all the analysts seemed to be picking Temple. Too bad for GW that they prob. lost a chance to "earn"/confirm themselves that extra-high seed. But this game seemed to be coming once Pops went down w/ the injury, so hopefully (for their fans anyhow ;D) they got it out of their system and they'll be back at full strength next weekend.

Yea - I honestly don't know if with Pops in we would have won, probably a closer game but the way we played I would still think we would lose. We killed them on rebound so its not as if Pops would have helped there.
We had 19 TOs and shot 20% or something from 3 point range. It was almost hard to watch, but then again most temple games are like that.
No excuses though - temple might be tough to play but we should win that game if we are really a top 10 team and a top seed. I agree I think 5 seed will be what we are given - I just hope we don't get killed with a 6 or 7, which they could give us if the wanted to.
If UCONN goes down - this will hurt less.

I think the WG loss with Syracuse's win eliminates Seton Hall AND another bubble team...George Mason? One of the MVC teams? Dun dun dun...

GW's realtime RPI is down to 40...not too pretty.
I think the committee is going to kill them. I see a 6 or 7 seed.

Syracuse is up to freaking 22 RPI...WOW. They not only are in the dance, but looking to get a nice seed.

What really sucks is the bid this took away from someone. Their loss in conjunction with SU*cks win means Texas A&M and whoever that fifth team from the MVC was going to be are out

If it weren't for the overall record...a 40 RPI, no real wins (or losses), they honestly could get a lot worse. A better resume than the 2000-2001 Hoyas, for sure, but how much better? We were a 10 seed. GU in 2000-2001 42 RPI 2-4 RPI Top 50 (2-2 Top 25) Versus Top 100 12-7 Worst Loss RPI 68 Seton Hall in Conf Tourney GW in 2005-2006 RPI 40-something? 2-1 RPI Top 50 (0-0 Top 25) Versus Top 100 7-2 Worst Loss RPI 81 Temple in Conf Tourney
