Pitt v. ND; Marquette v. Louisville; Syracuse v. Cincy; and Seton Hall v. Rutgers. On the FIRST day of the tourney! I better get my own keg - 22 hours of intense bball over 4 days.

How does the second round work? For instance, would GU play the winner of the Pitt/ND game or, if ND wins would the lowest seed remaining then play UConn and we would get the best seed remaining?
I forget how they structure this.

I forget how they structure this. It's a straight bracket. So, if we're the 4 seed, we get the 5-12 winner regardless...

Has anyone noticed how there could be a 6 team jam at 6-10 when it's all said and done!!?? WHAT the hell would be the tiebreaker in THAT scenario!!??

sorry---just realize it could be no more than 5 teams at 6-10 since Depaul and ND play each other last and so can't possibly end up with the same record. OK, so 5 teams at 6-10 potentially----nightmare scenario...

I like our shot with a worn down Pitt or ND squad to play against.

Yeah---I just think our team has struggled against good to great 3 pt. shooting teams (ND, WVU, Vanillanova, MU and Ucons) alot since we lack interior depth. I WOULD feel better about having to play ND in the 2nd round since they may be wasted from a tough game the day before. On the other hand, they might be even MORE dangerous in that second game if they get into a groove. At any rate, I'd choose to avoid those types of teams until as late as possible.

If things pan out, we could face a road that looks like: Pitt/ND and then Nova. I think we played Nova pretty well and on a neutral court where they don't hit 90% of their threes in the first 10 minutes then we could really do some damage. I also like the potential of a pair of wins over two top ten teams heading into selection Sunday. Lots of gain and little risk in terms of our tournament seed.

Its only going to be Nova if they win and UConn loses at home to Louisville. I think its safe to assume that if we're at 4, we're looking at the winner of UConn vs. Cuse/Cincy should we advance to the semifinals

Geez, forget sight-seeing in NYC - look for me at the ESPN Zone in Manhattan.
