So...to get the #4 seed and the bye, Marquette needs to lose against against Providence or Louisville.
Here is the good news:
Louisville's remaining games are home against Marquette and away vs. UConn. If they don't win either, Louisville does not make the Big East tournament. Their best chance is Marquette at home.
The players will be playing and Pitino will be coaching to avoid humiliation. I expect that they will be highly motivated.

And MU has a five- or six-game winning streak, so they're due for a loss.
I'm counting on a hotly contested, yearly rivalry from two ex-C-USAers, Senior Night @ Luvul, Pitino, etc...
GO LUVUL!!!!

Let's go Cardinals! Of course, game will be nowhere to be found on any TV, I believe ESPN and ESPN2 are showing the Duke and UNC practices for the rest of the week.

Hey, is the MU-Luvul game on TV? No. ESPN is showing a Duke-Carolina retrospective hosted by Mike Patrick.

MU has only won 3 straight. GTown, Pitt, @nd. Our struggles have come on the road this year, but wins @shu and @nd seem to indicate that we're turning the corner. we've also had more success at freedom hall than any other conference foe in the last 10 years. it's gonna be a war, but MU will be plenty motivated, too. last season, with travis diener out, slick rick played and pressed his starters for the entire 40 minutes and 'ville won by 47 points. yes, 47 points! you can bet the number 47 has been on the wall in the MU locker room all week. should be great entertainment, even if you are rooting against us. we HATE loserville.

Thanks for that info, dienertowade. Sounds like a bloodbath is coming. Could turn out to be one of the best games of the week.

Sounds like Taquan Dean of Louisiville is pretty fired up about the Marquette game and making sure Louisville makes it to the Big East Tournament: "I believe everything happens for a reason. I'm not sure what the reason is for us to struggle this season. But the main thing is to keep working. And I know that when I walk out on that court (against Marquette), I'm going to be there to battle.""There's no way I'll be able to control my emotions," he said. "I love playing here. I love walking down that tunnel into Freedom Hall. I could lie to you and tell you that I'll put it out of my mind. But I won't. I'll just use it as much as I can to try and make my last memory in the building a good one. It's a big game."www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060228/SPORTS02/602280413/1028/rss0702
