OK, there has been some talk about playing George Mason next year. Fabulous idea for many reasons.
There has also been some talk about adding George Washington. That's a pretty good idea, not great.
But what about creating a tourney of George's pitting Georgetown against George Mason and George Washington. The only question of course is who do you add? Who is the 4th George?
Although Georgetown College in Kentucky is an option, and George Fox University from Oregon fits the bill, they are both D III and dreadful for the old RPI.
Fear not, I have the solution. . . . Georgia.
That would be a fantastic tourney, Georgetown, Georgia, George Washington and George Mason. Great for RPI, lots of fun and best of all--- it keeps the Twerps out!
Anyone think of any other George schools we should consider?

Do you really think that the 4 schools all starting with the "Georg" sound would be the big draw?
I think if we were to do it, we should have the 4th team be UMCP, UVA, or some other area team... because I really think having similar geographic bases makes for a more exciting game then having similar sounding names.
We could add UVA and make it a DC/Virginia type thing if you want to keep UMCP out. 4 pretty local teams, all solid in terms of quality, 4 different conferences represented.

Well if we are going that route George Mhureson would be a hell of a draw.
I like the UVA idea. Leato and Hobbes would probably go for it as they are both Calhoun assitants.
DC v. VA screw the Terps.
Let them fade into their inevitable irrelevance.

If we get UVA...I'd just love to see that just to hear what Feinstein had to say

Have it include 5 people.... 3 Georges and William & Mary....
I know... that was bad....
I'd rather have Ga. Tech than GT if you wanted it to be good with 4 Georges...

Georgetown, George Washington, Maryland, UVA, George Mason, James Madison, American, and Navy. Eight-team tournament held at the MCI...Verizon Center. Only problem is that two teams from the same conference would likely play each other at some point. Maybe have GU and WG, with two other rotating in and out (like have Maryland and UVA alternate every year, and have the other schools rotate every four). Call it the "BTBB&T (Better Than the BB&T) Classic."
Oh, and Gheorge Mhuresan WILL do a ceremonial opening-tip. I promise you that.
