Thankfully, it doesn't affect us.
Have you noticed how close the race is to get into the conference tournament?
South Florida appearts to be definite to stay home. After that, 7 teams have 3,4, or 5 wins. Playing well at the end of the season will likely determine who makes the conference tournament and who does not.
It makes for some excitement, but I imagine that it will also be a career killer. If a coach's team doesn't even make the conference tournament in the BE, there will be a lot of pressure to replace him.
Should be fun to watch.

It will come down to the march first game of ND vs. Providence. They have a simillar schedule the rest of the way. The both play marquette which i'm assuming will win both games and the each play a ranked team that they'll probably lose to ND gets Uconn and providence gets pitt. Then they each play a team worse than them ND gets depaul and Providence gets SF. I'm hoping for a providence win on March 1rst. I'd rather face them then ND if we end up being the 5 seed.

Sidenote: Louisville, ND, and Providence are all 4-8 in the BE right now.
ND's games: UConn, Marquette, Providence, DePaul Providence's games: SF, Pitt, ND, Marquette Louisville: Marquette, UConn, WV, DePaul
If no major upsets occur, I forsee Louisville and either ND or Providence going 1-3. Louisville beat both of them so they will be in the tourney. However, a possible loss against DePaul may push Louisville out of the BET and both Providence and ND will be in. You never know....
And ND is not a team I would like to face in the BET.

I think Notre Dame might beat Marquette. Notre Dame played them pretty close at Bradley, and the Irish are tough at home. With something to play for, I definitely think they have a shot in South Bend. Which, most likely, is good for us.
