Interesting to hear commentary like this coming from a UConn fan (from The Daily Campus, school newspaper at UConn): "Frankly, I'm fairly annoyed that UConn played Georgetown just once this season. And only in Hartford. Obviously that makes things favor UConn better, but my argument is not as a UConn fan, but a college basketball fan. The Hoyas have proven themselves to be a very good team. As a fan I want to see UConn go down to the MCI Center and face the Hoyas in a hostile environment. And as a UConn fan you should too. Besides, this season, how nice would it be to gloat about a UConn victory at Georgetown to Duke?" tinyurl.com/74twv

You can be CERTAIN that we will get ours next year. Tranghese, ESPN, and CBS will want a resurgent Gtown all over the airways. Get ready for mirror games with the likes of Syracuse, UConn, etc. depending on whether they tinker with the scheduling format.

I thought the mirrors were a 2 year arrangement, but I may be mistaken.

The mirrors this year were dictated by TV- any game that CBS wanted to show, ESPN got to have the return game if they so desired. I believe next year will be a new contract, and thus the move for playing every team once, with 1-3 mirrors depending on whether the conference season expands to 18 games.

Yeah, we'll go from one of the easiest conf schedules to one of the toughest, just like that.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.

But then we might have to play two away games in a row, just a couple days apart, on national TV, and our opponent's last game might have ended two hours before ours. Look at what such a schedule is doing to Syracuse. If they can't handle it, who can...

We'll be fine. If Jeff comes back, this team will be so deep, talented and well coached that it really won't matter who we play or when we play them
