I think that we want St. Johns to win their game. Because we play them twice our fortunes are more closely linked to theirs.

add Notre Dame vs. Louisville to that list.
Even though both teams are low in the BE standings, it should be an interesting and entertaining game to watch. BTW, a late season surge by ND would help our RPI

add Notre Dame vs. Louisville to that list. Even though both teams are low in the BE standings, it should be an interesting and entertaining game to watch. BTW, a late season surge by ND would help our RPI A late season surge by ND would not help our RPI, although a win today by ND against Louisville would. That is because most wins by ND will become losses for other Big East teams that we play. From an RPI standpoint from this point on, we want South Florida, St. Johns and West Virginia to do well. Conversely we want Louisville and Seton Hall (the teams we don't play) to do poorly. And we want the conference teams to win any remaining out of conference games. Despite the RPI impacts, I would rather see West Virginia lose because we are directly competitive with them for Big East Seeding. The UConn- Indiana game is quite important to the Big East. It is the last non-conference game for any Big East team, and the general consensus is that the Big East will be fighting with the Bg Ten for the last couple of berths in the NCAA.

Doesn't 'Nova play Marquette today?
That's certainly of interest. We want 'Nova to win that game to further separate the top of the Big East from the middle.

Good call on the ND game.
The UConn-IU game isn't the last OOC game for the BE. 'Nova plays St. Joe's on Tuesday.

Actually have the Cinci at WVU game here on CSS (ESPN Plus) with Criqui and Valvano. Have to wait until 4 to see if the Clemson streak in Chapel Hill can end (Purnell predicted a win at the national meeting of the booster club the other night.)
Going to zap2it.com with fingers crossed on getting the game tomorrow.
UPDATE: If you live in the Southeast in a Charter or Comcast market, tomorrow's game is on CSS.

I left the room when WVU was about to stretch their lead out and came back to WVU down 6 before hitting a 3 and then Cincy missing a shot.
Bearcats 23, 'eers, 20 6:16 in the half

Thank you Bay. I had a similar "I need to go to confession" feeling when I saw that Duke was losing at home to FSU. Goodness, this is tough. But definitely worth the joy from two weeks ago!!!!!!

Count me in favor of more Sunday Hoyas' games- let me watch everyone else on Saturday, all kinds of great games going on today, and I just hop around the dial. This Louisville-ND game is being played with the intensity of a Premiership relegation battle- very fun.
