Talks about the Big East having 3 legit national championship contenders, how bad the C-USA teams have been so far, the unlucky Irish, and a lot of NBA draft talk with some pretty interesting tidbits about a number of players, including Jeff Green. www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1183

I still think Green is the perfect "4" for the NBA - why does everyone peg him as a "3"?

perfect 4 is going overboard...the reality is that he is not big enough to bang with a lot of elite 4s in The League...I love Jeff Green but put him on KG, Duncan, Weber, Dirk, Jermaine O'Neal, Sweets, KMart and it creates a tough matchup. Of that group I'd say he's most similar in build to KMart but less explosive. Not a knock on Jeff, just reality.

Green would be a great pickup for any team that needs an uber-competent distributing forward who can also get you points when you need him. A friend of mine from Cleveland who isn't an alum but loves the Hoyas nonetheless wants him on the Cavs, distributing to LeBron and Hughes from the high post.

As Jeff gets older he will get stronger/bigger. As of now, I can't see him really contributing much in the NBA. As someone said, this is no knock, it's reality. He's a fantastic college player right now, has great game instincts and will mature well. After his junior or senior year, he can and will make a real impact in the NBA!

At Jeff's size, he'll be somewhat undersized versus most NBA 4s.
With his current skill set, it'd be great to see Jeff on a team with motion principles.

There is no doubt that with time and hard work, Jeff has a realistic chance to be a solid NBA player. I'm not sure what kind of role he'll play in the league, as it's really too early to tell, but he will get his chance.

He'd play great in a similar system to GU, say the BULLETS! I see him replacing underachieving Jeffries within a season in the NBA. Hmmm . . . someone who hustles, boards, and can actually score? Sounds good to me.

I would love to keep him for four years while we bring in two national championships over the next two years as we add summers, mcclain & ewing to the existing frontcourt of Hibs & Green. If our guards come to play, we are going to be contenders the next two years.

Does Jeff Green remind anyone of Jerome Williams?

Does Jeff Green remind anyone of Jerome Williams? In what way? They are similar in height and build, but otherwise I don't see it. Jerome had a good handle and he was a jumping jack on the boards. Jeff is a better shooter and passer, but not as good on the dribble or rebounding. Jeff also has shown a variety of post moves this year that I do not remember from JYD.

Physically, sure, he's sort of similar. But JYD had/has about 1/10th the offensive skills of Jeff. But they are both about the same size and probably about equal as athletes go. Jeff could definitely use a little of JYD's attitude on defense and on the boards, but then, so could just about everyone.
JYD was basically useless more than 5 feet from the basket. Jeff thrives out there. JYD hit one three pointer in his career. I'm thinking Jeff will do a bit better than that.

I thought it was a pretty positive comparison. I got a lot of mileage out of JYD on my fantasy basketball teams.
I only wish he played for the Wizards. Hopefully at some point Jeff will be playing for his hometown team

Sounds good to me. With all due respect, I'd prefer to see him on say, the Brooklyn Nets! Motion offense - distribution from Kidd - kind of like a more talented Richard Jefferson at this point, as RJeff didn't really have a shot at this point, just great athleticism. (Actually, that may be one of the better comaprisons for him right now).
