Was Sean Dockery's (yes from Duke) half court prayer to beat Va Tech early in the season.
This is one thing that hasn't been talked about in the afterglow of Saturday is that if Dockery doesn't make that shot, we wouldn't have beaten the UNDEFEATED, #1 ranked dEVILs. Sure beating Duke would still have been great, but it might not have gotten us quite as much national attention if Duke already had a loss.
Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I was also pulling for Duke to beat NC State last week - it made me feel dirty.

I was thinking the same thing on Saturday night. And that opinion was reenforced when I caught the opening of tonight's Duke-Va Tech game. Twenty years from now (heck, next year) that bit of information will become essentially lost. |

Absolutely agreed----But don't forget that squeaker they had against Memphis either. It was during that game that I started pulling for them so that they would come to DC undefeated (and leave UNHAPPY). Now, when we go there next year, THEY'LL be the underdogs, hoping WE come in undefeated. THANK YOU GOD!!! and thanks JT III; staff; PLAYERS and GU!!!!!!
