The BE games should be interesting: two old rivals from the C-USA and a St. John's team that's playing tough.
A win by SH would be huge against NCS.

Although it has nothing to do with our RPI, I'm tracking the UMD/GT game tonight. Would be nice to see UMD fall out of the tourney hunt.

Nice for us that Cincy has two road games in different parts of the country within four days. For a team lacking bodies, that's a tall order. Plus, I expect an intense game from these old rivals, and Louisville's backs are basically to the wall. They really can't afford to lose any more conference home games.

We should have a rested team by Saturday, although we've had two tough games this week. Plus, we'll have the new home-court advantage. Join the bandwagon...

uh, I wouldn't worry about the 2 parts of the country thing - the flight from CVG to DCA is only an hour and L'Ville's only a 2 hour drive away. That would be like us being at Nova and UConn back to back (except of course, it's L'Ville, not Nova). Not great, but not that bad.

thanks, jerz. i'm aware of where these places are. its still two road trips set up such that in between they double back to Cincy for no more than probably 36 hours.

The Louisville/Cinci game will probably be a dog fight like our game was last night... except this time it's two teams who are desperate to prove their rank within the league (except Louisville obviously being the more desperate team). I agree with Big Dog that Cinci is going to a more exhausted team. Any amount of not only traveling, but playing at opposing team's venues is rough on the body and psyche. SJU/Uconn will be an interesting match. I'm curious as to whether or not SJU is going to play upto the hype they've been recieving the past few days (because after all, they are dick vitale's team of the week ) Thank goodness for the SJU/Uconn game being on Full Court. I'll definately be switching between that and ESPN 2

If SHU wins at NC State, does that mean NC State moves up in the rankings?

Another strange day of CBB, thus far.
SHU 40-27 over NCSU at half. GO SHU. Colgate 23-22 with 1:30 to go in the first half. Could be a very helpful game for our RPI. Provy 44-24 over RU at the RAC with a few seconds left in the half. ONIONS. Maryland by 4 with under 4 left in half. GWU by only 5 with 3 to go in the half. Was a Duquesne lead for most of the way. Louisville 15-8 with under 12 in half. Navy by 3 over AU with 12:30 to go in half. SJU down by 1 with under 12 in half.

Maryland pulling away in the 2nd half... GW game is close in the 2nd half... Provy and SHU seem to be holding...

Knew the Terps would come out strong because of all the negative publicity. Kinda take on an "us against the world" attitude. But as lousy as GTech is I would have never guessed the Yellow Jackets would come out this soft.
Just simply amazed at the NC State score. Slightly less surprised by the Providence score. Can't say enough about what St John's is doing.

Wow, some of these games are making my head spin:
Seton Hall POUNDING N.C. State. Unreal. Louisville pounding Cincy. I guess that's bad for us. Providence leading Rutgers at the RAC. Not 20 any more, but still, how shocking is this? St. John's hanging with UConn. West Virginia losing by 4 at home at the half to Marshall. WTF?

If SHU wins at NC State, does that mean NC State moves up in the rankings? Hilarious. It also means a continuation of one of the greatest weeks ever for any Big East fan living in ACC country.

Nice job by the Pirates.
Amazingly Marshall has just extended their lead to 7, 47-40 with about 5 minutes left. What is the deal there?

It is their ENTIRE season. Seriously, if they go 1-26 and the 1 is WVU they're happy at Marshall. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't practice for any other team. It's that big a deal.

The deal is also that WVU is currently shooting a shockingly bad .154 (4-26) from 3 point land. Maybe some credit is due the Herd there, but certainly not all. Not for this Mountaineers team.
