Sorry, I just thought I'd get that out there collectively for everyone.
What in God's name were we doing fouling on a 3 at the end of regulation? The Heart-Attack Hoyas are back, baby!!!!

I swear they're going to give me a heart attack before the season is over.

Second game in a row the Hoyas have forked over a 14-point lead.
Disturbing to anyone else?

Well, at least they give you a heart attack and win, rather than make you go though all that angst just to lose. And the fact that we won in double overtime is somewhat cathartic after losing that 4OT game against them a few years ago.

Second game in a row the Hoyas have forked over a 14-point lead. Disturbing to anyone else? I'm not as disturbed since our 14 point lead was really early in this game. The Duke game was a result of some bad ft shooting and playing the #1 team in the country. Now had we blown a 14 point lead late in the second half tonight like on Saturday, then I guess it would bother me more.

Given the two teams, I am not worried about giving away the 14 point leads. Actually, we did not give away the Duke lead. Anyway, these teams are high scoring, good shooting team that have the capability to put up points in bunches. Now if we blew this lead to SJU or maybe Cincy I would be concerned.

I agree with Playa here. You just KNEW Duke would come back on us. I thought we showed tremendous grit in holding on. As for this game, Notre Dame got sizzling hot on 3's during about a six minute span between the end of the first half and start of the second half. That will happen with ND; they have those kinds of shooters. So I don't feel bad about that either.

Bottom line... the Hoyas won. They had a balanced offense and they... yes... won the game.
Who has mentioned the fact that Green had a very solid game! Any worries about a sophomore slump seem to be off the table.

I wasn't able to see the game other than through Chvotkin eyes, but was Green's 4-13 from the field mostly missed outside shots?

wow - that is a surprising stat dan - jeff seemed to have a great game - he had 2 three-ptrs, one huge one in double OT, and a couple very impressive short jumpers, power moves...but most of his misses came from the inside i think.

I'm pretty sure I was mad at him aftyer one 3 because he was 0-6 from 3s at one point.

Given that we were dogs by 7-8 in the Duke game, and 1-3 in this game, I am perfectly happy with a pair of three-point wins, no matter what form they come in.

Dan -
Great stat! On another thread I was making a point that people should not judge a game by a box score or a chat room. Well, I watched it on TV and I thought Green played a strong game. Those stats surprised me.
I think I may be caught up in the fact that he had a clutch 3 (something I forgot he could do) and he had he seemed to be the most sure with the ball. There were times when I thought he was a point guard with the way he was protecting the ball and looking for an option.
In any event, you proved the converse of my point. Before making a point we should try to understand all sides of it.
Bottom line - the Hoyas won.

I didn't think there was any way they could cause me more stress than they did the last two. They found a way.
HeartAttack Hoyas--the name says it all.
