Haven't seen it. Heard Falls basically kicked his legs out into Brandon to draw the fall. Why do refs call this desperation garbage???

Shouldn't have been anywhere near him.
At all.
There was no reason to even play defense. None. Zero. Just let them shoot.
EDIT:
Thought the above is true, the folks in the rest of the thread are right. We won; it was a bad play, but we'll move on. Brandon has done many good things for the program.

It was a cheap foul, he kicked his legs out like a p---y...
... but that was awful by BB.

Agree with SF here... I haven't seen it so I can't judge too much... but if they are inbounding, 2 seconds left, down by 4, don't even move or get near them. The chance of them scoring 4 points without a foul is pretty much zero....
Overall very lucky to get this W after that bonehead play.

NO REASON TO BE WITHIN 20 FEET OF HIM. JTIII NEEDS TO ADDRESS THAT AFTER THE GAME

If I sent my 4 year old jack russel terrier out there instead of BB, the game ends in regulation. PERIOD. Stupidest play I have ever seen. Really.

We may have had a bonehead play by BoBo, but ND never led in the game. It would have been a terrible loss, they were lucky not the other way around. How about Hibbs with the DD!

bowman was benched for most of OT but we needed him b/c the guys were getting so tired. I wouldnt start him next game - he is a bonehead - and also had a terrible game - 1 pt and 1 board through 35mins

For those that didn't see it, here's the deal. ND was inbounding under the basket. The inbounder threw it to his left hand corner. Falls caught it in the corner coming around the screen. BB was lunging behind him. As he caught the ball to shoot (with a slight fade), BB jumped in front to fly by and maybe tip it. He wasn't going for the block per se, just trying to distract him and maybe get lucky with a tip. As he shot it, he kicked his right leg out, BB ran through it and knocked him down, shot went, the rest is history. No reason for BB to make a play on the guy. Let the 3 fall, if it goes you're still up 1 and they will foul on the inbound. For a more intense take on the play, ask DFW for his take

He's a 4-year starter. Unacceptable. That's the worst thing I've ever seen. Can you imagine if we'd lost?

Those in the chat know I tried to be nice to Brandon. I even predicted a Kobe like second half after he went scoreless in the first. He makes it impossible for me to like him! He's such a horribly dumb basketball player. All the gifts in the world, and no basketball brain to make use of them in a positive way. What a waste, really.
Edit: And yes I know he had a great game against Duke, and a main reason we won. Most players (especially a Senior) would build off a carreer game, or at least not kill his own team in the next outing.

Do we know for sure that JTIII told everyone to back off- or is that the sort of thing you are expected to know on a high school girls jv squad?

We must live with BoBo's inconsistentcy because it is clear we need him to win. He made the 2 free throws before that stupid play. That is more than we can say for a few other free throw shooters. He scored when we needed it most, we have to take the good with the bad. It does not make up for his lack of judgement on the Falls play but what about the refs calling a kick-out foul? If not for that crap, Bowman is not even mentioned right now.

I agree that it was a really stupid play, but where was this stupidity this past Saturday. I've watched the Duke game at least 10 times and after the first few minutes, he was brilliant. I think that is what drives me crazy is that he's just so unpredictable.

As dumb as the play is, more disappointing is his overall line for the team.
I had a meeting so I couldn't watch, but listening on the radio, they must've outrebounded us by 15 in the second half and OT.

Then call a timeout and put them back in.
