You don't know how great that feels to type that, but guys we need to realize that as huge as that win was and it was a great win, we need to put our focus as a program and fanbase on the rest of season--I think we all want this team and program to run with this win and use it as a fuel for remainder of season--not just the lone bright spot. So that starts with Notre Dame tomorrow and to me this week is one of the biggest in recent memory--if Hoyas can come out this week and play with same intensity, effort, and team philosophy, they'll be in great shape.
Thing about a win like this--it makes you feel as you accomplished something--and while it was a great moment--it's got to be the norm--not necessarily the execution because that is not possible--you can't play at a high level every night in terms of every facet working but you CAN bring that team effort, passion, and effort to every game and that is what I want to see from the guys. Don't make this the high mark--use it as fuel and blueprint to how you play as a team--everyone working together as a team and sharing the responsibilities--not putting it on 1/2 guys. I think significance of Duke win grows in stature if team comes out with renewed confidence and focus--if they bring intensity/effort like Saturday, they can win any game they play. That won't happen but it can if you bring what we all saw Saturday and a win at ND would sure keep the momentum going for the team and push Hoyas further along on getting program back to top.
Focus on ND, then Cincy, and then onto the next task, but that win showed the capability of a team when they play as one and SHARE the workload, which I hope we see remainder of year and think should be the signature of what we all want this Program to be about. TEAM!!!!
Time to quiet the party until tomorrow because to me any game day is a Hoya Party in my eyes--but some require different attire as we saw Saturday. After that win, it's time to get the lunch pail out and get back to smacking Big East teams around!
