The Coaches Poll is now the official laughingstock of college polls. Its worse than the football poll from two years ago before ESPN took their name of it and they agreed to publish the coaches names in the final voting.
There's absolutely no justification for voting Louisville in the poll. None. Same with Syracuse. Its simply a case of coach worship, and an indication of unbelievable laziness.
I'm disgusted, as I hope ESPN is. Somebody had better write the story.

Even Wilbon is disgusted.
VA Beach, Va.: What a weekend for sports!!! First Saunders to the Skins, then the 3 unbeatens in college hoops fall, then the Seahawks and Steelers EMBARRASSING the Panthers and Broncos, and to top it off Kobe drops 81!!! WOW! Whats your biggest story of the weekend??
Michael Wilbon: Well, the conference championship games were dogs. Neither was close, there was no drama, nothing compelling about the games. There were great performances, starting with Big Ben and Shaun Alexander/Matt Hasselbeck. But the games were disappointments. The college basketball stuff was huge. I got to watch two of those games, plus West Virginia beat UCLA which was on out west (I, of course, was in Denver)...I'm not sure West Virginia isn't the best team in the country. I would have, however, voted Duke No. 1 despite losing to Georgetown. And for teh Hoyas to not be ranked in the coaches poll is insane.

Agree about being behind Louisville somehow in the Coaches poll still somehow, ranked or unranked. That is just about as big as travesty as there is in the rankings.
As for #21 in the AP... I need to pinch myself a few more times before I'm convinced the page I'm reading, along with the weekend I just witnessed, aren't all just a dream.
