Does anyone think this bizarre MCI-driven schedule has kind of worn on the players?
Duke is essentially their first home game of the season. They played all the other home games over breaks (Vandy on Thanksgiving, the rest over exams and winter break) and they come back to USF, a team many wouldn't care about if they invaded campus.
So without local support like state schools or even non-urban schools enjoy, the closest thing they had to a home game might have been St. Johns at MSG (seriously). I can't help but think when you haven't run into a loud, friendly crowd all year it gets tiring.
Obviously that changes for the stretch run, which might bode well for the team.
