Gosh, Hoyalawya, I have to admire the effort you put into this. Getting up, grabbing your digital camera, and actually taking a picture of your own car is going above and beyond!
Most of us just use pics already posted on the web. ;D

Yes, well, ahem ......... if one is preaching JUSTICE for the downtrodden, sometimes it's nice to look a little downtrodden oneself. However, for chasing after ambulances, sometimes a Bentley works better.

I have nothing clever to add, only that I endorse this exercise in pointless elitism.

Thanks for considering my application and accepting me as a member, folks.
Mr. Showcase, nice to see you again. Those Cubans you sent over were fantastic. Mr. SF, thanks again for that case of double malt. Magnificent! Has Mr. '07 brought the Gulfstream back from Europe yet? And where's Mr. Cambridge and Mr. Jersey? I got a knock on my door last night and two LOVELY young women were there to escort me to the club, where we drank the finest Cristal, and sampled the musical stylings of one Mr. Tom Jones who, when he realized who I was, serenaded my two (ahem) escorts for the evening. Needless to say, that little gesture led to me being up all night... which partially explains my tardiness. The other part of that explanation is that I haven't driven stick in a while, so that Ferrari you all supplied me with took a little getting used to on the way here.
By the_way, have you considered Mr. Bin's application yet?

By the_way, have you considered Mr. Bin's application yet? Buff...so glad you could make it [extending hand], I'm sorry I wasn't here to great you. After I left you last night I had to fly out to LA and back for some Club business. The private chopper just dropped me off and I came down as soon as I had freshened up. You know the gulfstream really dries out my skin...and well that 20 year old single malt has been doing a number on my stomach all day...I could hardly keep the beluga down....anyways, I'm rambling. Are you coming with us to Nice tonight? We included you in our reservations, but no hurry, I understand you're a little foggy this morning. If you want, just hang out by the pool...Marjorie will take care of all your needs.[claps twice -- petite blonde appears and smiles coyly] However, should you feel up to it, we'd love for you to join us. We're meeting Jersey there...can't seem to tear him away from the Riviera....

Wait, can I join the club?
I don't know if you know me, but I'm kind of a big deal. I have many leather bound books and my library smells of mahogany ...

Frank goes to the same mass as I do here. I think he drifted off during the homily last week - but I'm not holding that against him. A very distinguished alumnus, who is interestingly good friends with a ceratin William Clinton ... isn't that weird?

I'll be sure to pass it along to Frank - he still gets two Oklahoma State Troopers who sit behind him at mass every sunday - its really weird because the church has about 30 people there for Sunday mass making two uniformed police officers a significant presence.

Walks through the large oaken doors of the club still not happy with the way the membership insignia looks on the new club-jacket that 07 gave him. Walks through the leather-laden lounge picking up a Cuban. The bartender in the club looks remarkably familiar - and I must say grooms a quality mustache. Highball in hand I sit down in a leather chair and puff on the Cuban that the mysteriously familiar mustachioed individual recently lit. Thinks to himself, "I have arrived."

I was wondering when you were going to arrive, St Pete. I was going to have Gov. Keating meet you at the door, but he was booked yesterday. Welcome to the club.

;D ;D ;D
Dang ... the cheapo-depot furniture place where I had linked some shoddy looking chairs must have changed its website to offer some shoddy desks on the same URL.
Anyway ... it is nice to know that the effete of HoyaTalk still think they are elite as well.
I shall have to re-assemble the members of the former Starter Club and discuss our next rag-tag RAIDS upon this mahogany-flaunting, leather-smelling, Cuban-smoking, Cristal-imbibing clubhouse.

No, Nevada ...... I must cast my lot with the lesser luminaries of mere triple-digit HT productivity.
