Alabama was pretty good--that's what happens when multiple guys can actually shoot the ball. Was a great game, was rooting for UNC as I've met RJ Davis a few times. Don't think anyone from BE other than UCONN could have beaten Alabama last night. Alabama was without Wrightsell Jr (concussion) too. Shows you How wrong the NCAA selection committee was and how overrated the ACC is.

It’s interesting that you mention the UNC loss as indicative of an overrated ACC, but don’t mention the fact that Clemson beat Arizona. Or that, aside from Virginia’s embarrassment, the ACC has done quite well this tournament. Again, I hate the ACC, but, if anything, the results aren’t close to suggesting the ACC was overrated.

Didn't see the game but of the games I've watched I don't see anyone beating Uconn or even losing by less than double digits to them.

Also time for a reminder that a single-elimination tournament is a fun way to choose a champion but not necessarily indicative of the best team. By the time you reach the Sweet 16, usually most of the teams are pretty good. Alabama is a good team. North Carolina, on balance, is probably better. But last night they weren't. And that really isn't fully reflective of either team's overall quality. That said, unfortunately even though a one-game tournament has a lot of variance/luck involved, people DO make conclusions like that. So it can be important for media narrative and things like that.

Quette better get it into gear. Not looking good. Shaka getting destroyed now. Needs to turn it around or another Shaka tourney flame out. The big boy for state is fun to watch. Was great in the acc tourney. Hard to prepare for him.

Diarra perfectly complements DJ Burns since burns isn’t a rim protector.
This is really what Supreme Cook needs. A complementary rim protector (somebody Benedict Akok or Grant Nelson could’ve provided). A rim protecting forward is really what we need next year.

Something seems wrong with Zack Eddy’s leg. He’s moving kind of funny and isn’t exploding to the ball.

Marquette getting blown out--the whole ACC/BE narrative is kind of bogus. 1 game + specific matchups make it hard to really assess relative parity. UNC could have easily won--both teams played well.

I yearn for a day when we can complain about "flaming out" in the Sweet 16. Unfortunately fan bases aren’t as forgiving. JTIII was ran out of town by some fans simply for getting in the ncaa tournament and having a perennial top 25 team. At the end of the day you have to produce in the tournament.

Marquette has trouble hitting open shots. Hard to win if you can't no matter what your scheme, defense etc.
