Finally some good defense. Can we keep it up for 28 minutes?

Hoyas have been mostly switching and playing well on defense. Now if can get something on offense going decently, but Clingan is causing a whole lot of second thoughts from Hoyas.

Hoyas have been mostly switching and playing well on defense. Um, what? The endless parade of wide open dunks would seem to cut against this take.

We've got no shot if we don't get points from Epps and someone other than Styles.

Did something happen to Heath? He has 8 minutes, but all zeros.
Sick, injured, thinking getting his hands on the ball he keeps hearing about?

There have been lapses, but defense has improved and switching and covering well. Ish has had a couple boneheaded lapses that let Castle loose in the lane and a missed cover on Karaban. Inside with undersized Cook is going to be tough. Fielder doesn't have the strength nor size (and mostly plays stretch four which is his strength), and Ryan is Ryan.

Whatever, I know you like to think of yourself as the great basketball knower that sees things nobody else can but in no universe has this defense been mostly good. It’s an absurd notion.

Watching Cook last couple games and Fielder today, they are boxing out well bigs with all their focus, but it takes them out of rebound possibilities. Both are undersized compared to opponents.

I am sorry- RB should be the point guard for the rest of the season. The ball moves. Epps just dribbles around. and when he does try to distribute- he passes up a layup to get it to Styles who does make a tough 2. But...?

It is sort of like watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon where players get open near the basket and start to get their feet and body set for a shot and they see Clingan out of the corner of their eye and back the ball back out. A deep mid-range on the kick or kick to a set 3 may be the best option, but UConn is covering out well too.

It’s all about talent. Unless Cooley can recruit some quality players then this will never end

Rowan hasn't fully transitioned to college D1 ball, but it does get the ball moving to all players, add a rather solid (and feisty defender when Cooley lets him) defender, but also lets Epps focus on scoring and that is what Epps does best.

Heath in and trys a finger roll that rightly gets blocked by Clingan...
