I’m gonna focus on the positives after a tough loss. Feel free to add your positive thoughts. Here are my brightsides:
We’re likely not an at large caliber team this year anyway. We know we won this game even though our record will say otherwise.
Jayden Epps is a dog.
The whole team battled their ass off after being down as many as 15 I think.
The whole college bball world is talking about our Hoyas lol.

The bright side is that under Patrick Ewing there is no way we would have been close in this game, we would never have battled back from 15, and we couldn't get ripped by a non-call because the game would not have been close to begin with. The growth this team has shown in a short period of time is impressive, as has been the coaching staff and players in sticking with it and not getting discouraged. It's such a wildly better situation than last year or the last several years.
We may have gotten ripped off today, but we essentially "beat" at top 30 team. And no, we don't get the win, but at best we lost because they hit an easy shot where the guy was out of bounds. After the Holy Cross loss, how many people had us almost beating TCU?
(Don't get me wrong. I am still really upset about losing. A win would have been a nice early-Cooley program defining win. But, we will get that win another night.)

I have some nitpicks but am still very happy with Cooley so far.

If we had won it would've been a nice taste for Hoya fans that there is hope for the future but would've gotten mostly lost nationally, being overshadowed by Dukes loss to GT, Novas loss to Drexel, UKs loss to UNC-W.
Instead with this loss, Hoya fans are Editeded but the feeling of hope for the future remains. And nationally the narrative Georgetown got robbed plays on the media mediums.

The future looks bright! We have some long distance bombers! Massoud welcomes any opportunity to shoot the long ball. His release is not quick, but just right. Hope we step into it and shoot the 3 every chance we get!

TCU was Kenpom #29 coming into the game btw. Granted they have played a very soft schedule so far.

I would argue the review was to determine whether he made a 2 or 3 point basket and the review should have determined that he made neither since he was out of bounds!

My significant other was rather surprised that I wasn’t throwing stuffed animals at the television afterwards— something that’s happened too frequently in the past. But we know the actual result, we saw a great game, and witnessed progress. I doubt that the technical (L) is really costing us anything, so I’m happy.
