Hasn't Cooley taught these guys how to play against zones?

I watch every game unfortunately traversb. He did nothing of import on D other than not F up - which i guess is a win. He got blocked by a stiff on O. And offers almost nothing for a 7'2 kid. He stopped a drive. He caused a turnover. He forced a bad shot and I’m not sure did a single thing that led to a basket. None of that can be said for Cook. Oh and he never got blocked. He got fouled. Granted his two free throws looked bad. You sure you’re watching?

It’s really amazing how good we make Holy Cross and American look. They look like P5 teams vs us. They haven’t shown anything close to this in any other game. It’s truly stunning. It’s because we’re not well-coached.

Hasn't Cooley taught these guys how to play against zones? Takes teamwork and there are to or three that aren't working like team players. Also need to make shots when working through plays against the zone and few are doing that.

Nice steal by Rowan on transition, but Epps then turns it over again.

Rowan keeping a defender on his back hip for an easy basket is something he has done for years. So nice to see as a Hoya.

We are much better when the game gets messy. Not sure if that’s good or bad but it’s a thing.

The lack of skilled players is a problem. I may have underestimated a bit how much of Ewing’s failure was due to bad players.

We look tired to me. And B2B or not that's unacceptable.

Cook running on a Rowan break ahead of Rowan, but has his defender between them. Really need to be aware on a break and give the ball handler a clean passing lane.

Also need to make shots when working through plays against the zone and few are doing that. Has Heath ever been a team player? In 5 years of Division I basketball? Epps clearly isn’t a team player. Styles, Brumbaugh, and Cook are team players. Mutombo seems like one too, in limited minutes.

Bristol is defending rather well with his feet, which wasn't something he didn't do well last year.

Epps on defense doesn't stay with the defensive slide and crosses his feet. His man is taking advantage every time. He will get owned in the BE if he doesn't fix it.

Epps has way more Primo in him than posters here probably want to admit. He can’t stay in front of anyone and he’s believing his own hype.
Thank heavens for Dontrez or this would be ugly.
