What’s the deal with espn plus? Is this a monthly sub? Are there still dubiou urls to be found on the inter webs to get these for free? I’m not putting down my credit card for monthly sub #28 only to forget about it for a few years and the university really ought to cough up and provide live free streaming of ALL games department wide. Feel like my boarding school pulled this off a decade ago.

Unless you’re willing to watch in a pirate feed from Belarus (yes they exist but with lots of spam links) the only other option is the Marist radio broadcast.

Essentially the game only being available for ppv or premium sub is a perfect symbol for why this program can’t get any traction. So few people care, take down all the barriers.
All of this applies to the PL equally.

Meanwhile, let's check in on how some of our fellow Big East schools are doing...oh. oh no.

Still mad I didn't get to make a ridiculous trip to North Dakota to watch us lose by 70.

Still mad I didn't get to make a ridiculous trip to North Dakota to watch us lose by 70. I would have been there too, but this is the problem: the soft bigotry of low expectations is so pervasive that literally any opponent that offers athletic scholarships is deemed as non-competitive for the young lads of Georgetown, untouched by the stain of athletic grants-in-aid. The next two opponents do offer scholarships, by the way, but I would wager that to most administrators, they have no idea that a school like Sacred Heart puts more money into its program than does Georgetown. No one asks Georgetown to play Stanford or Syracuse--two opponents played in consecutive seasons by Colgate (the latter a 65-0 casualty this afternoon at the Carrier Dome). I do suspect that the current staff steers clear of more representative competition because a loss to Villanova or William & Mary would open some eyes as to where the program is right now, and that's why Kevin Kelly said "no" to North Dakota State--losing would draw more questions inside the gates to his program than say, a nondescript opponent like Sacred Heart (the actual replacement team for that game, which GU lost). So, it's easier to schedule Marist every year. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It's a start. Let's see how they do against Sacred Heart & Stone hill. I do agree with DFW that if we are playing against scholarship teams already, it can't hurt to get a paycheck (not what he is saying BTW). If it is not a paycheck, let's go play Butler or Villanova which are at least schools people are familiar with and part of our basketball conference. Or keep it hyper local and try to get Morgan State, Howard or Towson on the schedule. I don't get the Northeast conference scheduling.
