It’s a Hoyas win. The majority of Gtown games remaining on YouTube are of Hoya losses. Someone from Syracuse must be running the operation. COHoya on YouTube has a lot of classic Hoya wins on his channel COHoyas YouTube channel got me through the no sports during Covid

(With apologies to pre-3 point line Hoyas) …
Contested: Austin Freeman or Gerald Riley
Uncontested: Jonathan Wallace or Hollis Thompson

Someone has to nominate Jessie Sapp. At one point he was an absolute killer when it came to hitting end of game contested threes.

Agreed that you have to go with Sleepy.
Unless the shot is from the corner, then I'd pick David Wingate.

Wingate had the bankshot down. A lost art.

If the shot to win the game is from 3-point distance, I want Reggie to shoot it, followed by JWall.

No three in his day but Derrick Jackson. I absolutely disagree. Derrick might have been the best mid-range shooter the Hoyas have ever had, but his shot was way too flat to be effective from three. The winner against West Virginia to put the Hoyas into the NCAA in 1975 might be the longest shot he ever hit.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera Yes, Smith-Rivera must be considered.
I think Sleepy was the second-best GU player of all time, after Patrick.

Derrickson was also a decent three point shooter.

I heartily agree, with Reggie 3rd in my book.

Probably because Allen Iverson, for all his talents, was not a generational shooter: 31 percent from three in two seasons at Georgetown, 44 percent overall. He was a volume shooter, averaging just under 18 shots a game. True, but he is the ppg leader all time on the hoyas, as well as top 10 in NBA history. Certainly worth a look over Hollis or DVR, imo. Allen could draw a foul with the best of em This is all true miracles but the OP stated game on the line and contested 3🤷🏾♂️

Great percentage but when was he called upon to hit clutch shots? I forgot that we were down when Hollis hit that 3 against Bama....fearless

I can't forget the wide open 3 point miss against Florida in the tournament. I'd take Jwall and DSR #2.

No three in his day but Derrick Jackson. Great shooter. Very fine ballplayer. Great days in McDonough.

It would be interesting to see how many points Sleepy would have ended up with if there was a 3 point line.
