How is this different from The Blueprint? Well for starters, unlike The Blueprint, it doesn't seem like the Underpants Gnomes of NIL... Hoyas Rising : there's a form. Anyone can donate. They nailed that part. There's actually some rewards for significant donations. I'm unclear about how those donations get to the athletes, but if I understand it correctly, they do? Can someone explain what happens to $50 if I donate it to Hoyas Rising? The Blueprint : no clear method of donation, need to request access to see what the registry was ( dash.inflcr.com/exchange/georgetown-university ), no clear idea on what it was or what it entailed just that there were a lot of hoops involved to keep small donors out (which is Georgetown's general vibe)

Their ouster is the only thing that has changed in GU’s administration/AD re: NIL. Is The Blueprint still operating? If not, why didn’t The Blueprint work? Is someone learning from those mistakes? Why create a second entity for the same purpose? Is it because DeGioia’s friend wanted his own NIL entity? Can anyone create another and associate it to Georgetown? If so, how many will be allowed? If these questions have been answered, please paste them here. Like TC is suggesting, when asking for donations, transparency is the key.

I would like any of our bloggers or student journalists to do some research into the following: Given how disconnected the student media is these days, you could be waiting a while. But there's no conspiracy here. I'll take a chance at answering these: Q. Was The Blueprint in any way associated to the Thompson/Ewing/Falk family connections? Their ouster is the only thing that has changed in GU’s administration/AD re: NIL.A. No. Blueprint is a GU-branded name for INFLCR, a database exchange for NIL properties used at DePaul, St. John's, and Marquette and 24 P5 schools. In addition to providing NIL news and resources to student athletes, it offers the opportunity for interested businesses to match with student-athletes (SA's) and to act as a payments processor. Q. Is The Blueprint still operating? If not, why didn’t The Blueprint work? Is someone learning from those mistakes?A. Still in business, still on GUHoyas.com. One might guess that it doesn't drive significant revenue to SA's and/or it can't move quickly enough when a recruit's NIL number comes up. Q. Why create a second entity for the same purpose? Is it because DeGioia’s friend wanted his own NIL entity?A. The game has chanced since INFLCR debuted. It's now less about matching SA's with businesses and more rapid third party support. Tim Brosnan didn't "want his own NIL entity" inasmuch as he was tied in with sports management for a long while (MLB) and knew what it would take to get it up and running quickly--something Ed Cooley was likely very interested in and something Patrick Ewing was likely not. Q. Can anyone create another and associate it to Georgetown? If so, how many will be allowed?A. There are no rules, unfortunately, on collectives. Anyone can create one. They may or may not be affiliated to a school, or any school for that matter. Think of it as a PAC.

Appears to be a more polished version to me. www.hoyasaxa.com/sports/bball.htmThe group is referred to in the release as a "collaborative", a distinction from another phrase common in the sports industry, namely, a collective. "A collective is part talent agency, part extension of the school, and part rogue actor shaking up college sport," wrote Alex Kirshner at this link to Global Sport Matters. "Collectives negotiate agreements with athletes to pay them a monthly amount in exchange, officially, for the use of the athlete's name, image, or likeness in such ways as social media advertising, an appearance in a commercial, an autograph signing, or, in the case of collectives that have taken nonprofit status for tax purposes, an appearance at a charitable event." Georgetown has never publicly stated if it employs a collective to sign recruits, though some fans have assumed as much since Ed Cooley had an collective while at Providence College. (A request by this site to Hoyas Rising to clarify its status as a collective has not yet been returned.)

I wonder if eating one of those lobster rolls is what made Rowan sick. Hopefully he's feeling better. Also, when did DC become part of the Northeast?
