First of all, a new record was broken today: for the first time ever, a prediction thread had more posts than a game discussion thread an hour before the start of the game. Kudos to all! Congrats to HoyaNyr320 for his first win of the season at 7 points off! Congrats to Patrick Ewing for having a losing record vs all current Big East coaches... for breaking his own horrible BE consecutive losing record yet again… for not being able to beat another Power 6 opponent… for having the most delusional ego of any coach in college basketball... yikes! Past winners (19):1427hoya (2), Hoyaatheart55 (2), SSHoya (2), EasyEd (2), jpj, Ranch Dressing, tashoya, bamahoya11, hoyaroc, Bigs”R”Us, conshyhoya, bluegray79, Lethal_Interjection, miracles87, and KenteKrazies. Mercy, Jack! DU KenPom#132*: 80 GU KenPom#226: 68 *to be updated on gameday (hopefully)

I predict in this game that Gtown flirts with a win in the second half but finds a way to go 0-30 against all odds

2 bad teams will take the court.
One will leave with its 30th straight conference loss

DePaul is playing well lately (by their standards at least) and our last Big East win at Cap One pre-dates the beginning of Roman Reigns’ universal title run. It has been 1,078 days since we beat DePaul at Cap One on February 8th, 2020. Any wrestling fans out there?

God, I so badly don't want to concede the game to DePaul, but it's time to stop pretending we & DePaul are the 2 bad teams at the bottom of the BE. DePaul is tied with St. John's in 8th/9th place, Butler one loss behind them in 10th, and us at the bottom, all alone by far. That plus, despite their weaknesses, DePaul plays with energy and they have something of an identity. Stubblefield has them doing pretty well, at least well enough to beat Xavier -- previously unbeaten and who had beaten every other BE team as well as Florida and West Virginia with close games against Gonzaga and Indiana. Sorry - just don't see us beating them Tuesday playing the way we are.
