I was looking for a thread where this was mentioned, but perhaps I just missed it. If Loyola can pull this off, perhaps there is hope that we can win a Big East game this season.

Loyola is good this season. They move the ball really well, they have outside shooters, and defend well. I caught the St. Mary's Gaels game (normally the 2nd best in the WCC and often gets a bid to the dance) the Gaels played really well and had a 12 or 14 point lead at half. The size and physicality of Pepe, who can also shoot 3s made things tough. Loyola can play fast and quick moving ball for quick baskets then be incredibly physical on the defensive end. They have really good coaches. One of the assistants for Loyola was a PG at St. Mary's, but was assistant at Nevada Reno then took them to the dance as head coach. He has been an assistant at Georgia Tech, St. Mary's, turning University of San Diego around, and not at Loyola.
If playing Loyola you need to bring your "A" game and not think you can ease off or they will own you.
Loyola was missing two of its best players when they faced Georgetown. They are back now.
