As always, it has to start on the defensive end.

I tend not to take these hit streaks too seriously before they reach 30. I mean, 27 is a loooong way from 56! Ha? Ha Ha?

Seton Hall is very good defensively but horrible offensively if Gtown can put together a mediocre defensive effort they'll be in the game late.

Before the Jamaica tournament mess I thought we would have a shot at beating Hall at home but I’m less sure now.
The combination of hall’s defense and terrible offense with our own mess might make for a very ugly game

Team is fragile and lacks the confidence and composure to withstand a run by opponents, even a weak opponent like Seton Hall. Watching body language tells all—there is an expectation that they will lose. Not certain that the opponent matters anymore.

Seton Hall's offense isn't very good, but their defense is good. They have the 13th best three point defense in the country, defend twos fairly well, and get a bunch of blocks. Seton Hall's shooting is really atrocious, which would seemingly help but if our defense leaves them wide open will those low shooting percentages suddenly come up?
I would note that while Seton Hall has struggled offensively, in Big East games they've actually improved slightly from the OOC season.

Maybe the Hoyas shock all of us and play a complete game but there is no indication of that happening, unfortunately. But I'll be there rooting for a win and hoping some students show up.

Questions for tonight:
Who is going to be able to play? Mozone helps but the team really needs Murray more. Will Wahab end a season long funk and put together a solid game on both ends of the court? Can Akok find his stroke and become an offensive threat against an undersized opponent? Bristol must play defense, as well as keeping up his perimeter shooting. Riley has to bring his usual energy on both ends but much more focus on eliminating the careless TOs. Primo--need a floor general, with quality shots and ball movement and not a hero. Defense--even a bad shooting team can hit wide open perimeter shots. Can Hoyas actually guard the perimeter?

I guess I kind of admire those of you who are trying to talk about these games like they're normal. This means trying to discuss who plays, X's and O's, who starts, what type of defense should we run, what type of offense, slump busters, etc.
It's just for me, we are so far beyond that. Talking about normal types of basketball issues with Georgetown basketball in early 2023 is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic after it hit the iceberg.
It just doesn't matter. This is a historically bad team which is mired in a toxic waste pit of cronyism that starts with the president of the University. Louisville might be bad this season, but at least they want to be a good program. They'll get there. Georgetown doesn't even know if it wants to be good. The bigger priority is employing friends.
These games just aren't normal.

I don't like Wahab in this game, the Hall likes to run 1st off so I worry about him keeping up with Ndefo & Samuels. Also SH players are very handsy, If Wahab brings the ball down or goes thru his slow mo moves he'll have a bunch of TO's or tough shots...

Seton Hall is terrible on O. We are terrible on D. In that time of match-up, I tend to like the team that is better on D. If we get hot somehow, we can get a W but I would probably expect a second half ten point run to do the trick for Seton Hall to get the W.

I'm not sure those really even out - they are not great on offense, but we are worse.
