No reason to expect different outcome.

They beat Seton Hall. Which is a better team than we are. So . . .

This is an L. I don't care if we are up 15, we are going to find a way to lose. That is what losing teams do. We have proven to be very proficient in that regard this year.

Siena has gone 2-1 against power conference opponents this season. They have wins over Florida State and Seton Hall along with a 12-point loss to Ole Miss. Georgetown is 0-3 this season against power conference opponents with losses to Northwestern, Texas Tech, and South Carolina. Just on that resume, I see Siena as the better team.
This game also may be our best remaining chance for a win this season. It’s so frustrating to just be hoping for a great all-around performance to hope we have a chance of holding on against Siena, but frankly, I think Siena is likely to win the game. They’re familiar with power competition and have played better so far than we have. It’ll take a strong effort to win this game and any others the rest of the way.

Siena also lost to Harvard and Army - they are not world beaters.

It's a very winnable game, just as the South Carolina game was a winnable game for us. Our best chance for another win this season - it's up to everybody to go out and get it.

Mom went to Siena but I’ve converted her to root against her alma mater in the past. This time I’m sending her a Siena shirt to wear for the game. Not rooting against Georgetown just pragmatic.

As always I cannot root for a loss, no matter what potential consequences. I can , however, acknowledge that another embarrassment will hopefully lead Ewing to conclude that he can help restore the program to respectability only by putting aside his ego and acknowledging that this is not a job he can succeed at. The last straw for me was the latest effort to blame the players--a completely new set of players--for the failures on the court. It's a repeat of last year and the year before and it is an utterly shameful and dishonest effort to deflect blame away from the coach for having continuously failed to turn this program around.
Hate to see a Hoya great fail but this disastrous experiment by the University and its clueless Administration will have ramifications that will take years to recover from, but the sooner it starts, the shorter the climb back to respectability. Hoping that before or after the Syracuse game, the coach can acknowledge the obvious and step down.

It is just really nice that we were able to get this game on the schedule so Donald Carey, our captain and leader, could play one of his other schools….

I am a crazy person who still pays for season tickets. Can I ask for a refund now that they are giving them away for free.

In all seriousness, if you live in DC, you should at the very least get reimbursed for tomorrow's game. I would certainly ask my ticket representative, the worst they can say is no. And are they really in a position to upset paying customers at this point?
