Loyola seems to be a similar team to NW but if lesser quality and conference.
One 7 foot big along with a 3pt shooting power forward and 3 3 pr shooting guards wings. All their shooters are in the 33%+ 3pt range.
So good test for us in terms of defending against the same style of offense.

We will have far more talent than either team we play next, LaSalle or Wake Forest. However I like the opponent in the coaching matchup vs. Ewing (whether it's Fran Dunphy or Steve Forbes).

Sometimes makes/misses can be luck. We can’t let teams keep shooting +30 threes and/over over 50% of their total shots from deep.

However I like the opponent in the coaching matchup vs. Ewing. This is obviously an evergreen statement.

I had forgotten until reminded by a friend that we lost to Loyola Marymount in Jamaica in 2018. Though we lost to DePaul in the previous season, this game at the time was still our worst loss under Ewing to that date. If we are going to turn things around, might as well do it now. Unfortunately for me because of work this is a DVR game.

The only gelling this team needs to do is the KY version before the BE season starts. Seriously? Get a life and show some small amount of respect for your fellow Hoyas. The fact that the Admins allow this to stand says a world about the cesspool this place has sunk to and the pitiful state of our fan base. Bunch of cry babies. Lighten up man. It’s a joke. I’ve been around here long enough to know this doesn’t approach the line of an incendiary remark, much less cross it. The fact of the matter is this team is going to get lambasted once again in conference play if things don’t change quickly. The state of the fan base is in fact pitiful but it has little to do with crude comments about sexual lubricants and way more to do with an administration and basketball program that clearly do not care at all about its fans in any shape or form. This place is a cesspool because the university has allowed the program to become a cesspool. Not only allowed it but encouraged it with the most ridiculous extension in the history of contracts.

Wise man once said success or failure of an organization starts at the top. I’ve never been on a sports board where the fans have to experience this kind of psychological torture from supposed fellow fans. They would be banned right away elsewhere. Psychological torture? For making a KY Jelly reference? Boy you must be fun at a party. Dear lord. This Thanksgiving I’m going to give thanks that I don’t have to spend any holidays with some of you tightwads.

The only way LMU beats us is if they hit more 3 pointers than we do. We should be good to go then right? Seriously though if they don't bounce back and win this game comfortably it's a huge red flag.

These refs must love Ewing with these calls we are getting.
