On3’s No. 13 ranked player in 2024, Cam Scott, has set an official visit date with South Carolina. The Lexington (SC) High shooting guard will travel across town to visit on October 22 when No. 6 ranked Texas A&M is in town to play the Gamecocks in football. On3 previously reported an official visit date with Oregon, for October 1, that is no longer on the books. Scott will now visit Florida State that weekend. Florida State will get the first official visit, and head coach Leonard Hamilton will be by Lexington (SC) High on the first day D-I coaches can be out for the Fall live evaluation period. Look for Auburn and Texas to also be in the mix for upcoming visits. www.on3.com/news/cam-scott-sets-official-visit-with-south-carolina-gamecocks/

Due to Hurricane Ian, 2024 No. 13 Cam Scott is forced to reschedule his official visit to Florida State, originally set for this weekend. On3 originally reported Scott’s first three official visits, Florida State (10/1), South Carolina (10/22), and Auburn (11/11). The Florida State visit will be rescheduled, but a date has not been determined yet. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has also set his fourth junior year official visit with Texas. The four-star is set to head to Austin on November 25. www.on3.com/news/cam-scott-reschedules-florida-state-visit-sets-fourth-official-texas/

Cam Scott has maintained his status as a top-15 prospect in the 2024 On3 150 and continues to get better. Just last week, he exploded for 51 points in this league. On Monday, Scott finished with 21 and a win. With his high school group, Scott is making a conscious effort to play on the ball. The reads are developing, and he is toggling well between when to take over and when to get everyone involved. Still, he is a shooting guard, but having some secondary initiation experience will only enhance his skill set. Scott has four junior year official visits set up; South Carolina, Auburn, Texas, and Florida State. He took an unofficial visit to Tennessee last weekend and has one set to Duke for their ACC/BIG 10 Challenge game against Ohio State. www.on3.com/news/glymph-fall-league-shaws-standouts-cam-scott-arden-conyers-treyvon-maddox/

Four-star shooting guard Cam Scott took his third official visit this weekend. The 6-foot-5 Scott traveled to Austin, Texas, to see what Chris Beard and the Texas Longhorns had to offer. “The most memorable part for me,” Scott told On3, “was the full staff coming out to the airport and greeting my family early and with open arms. They had a lot of energy throughout the weekend, and it kept increasing as the days went along. “My favorite part was the different minds I was able to learn from all weekend. They have a professional life schedule that the athletes live by, which gives you freedom of how hard you work. It really brought excitement to my eyes.” www.on3.com/college/texas-longhorns/news/cam-scott-recaps-texas-visit/

"Cam Scott is the No. 22 player in the 2024 On3 150. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is also one of the featured players in the 2022 Chick Fil A Classic. On opening night, Scott played in front of a sold-out, standing-room-only crowd against five-star twins Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer. While the first game did not go as planned, Scott bounced back on day two with a 19-point, 7-rebound, 2-assist game at 9:00 AM. A familiar face at both games was South Carolina head coach Lamont Paris. “For him to come to watch me play at 9:00 PM and then turn around to be back watching 12 hours later was pretty special,” Scott said. “I think he was one of the only coaches here.” Scott, the junior at Lexington (SC) High, has taken three official visits, Auburn, Texas, and South Carolina. Paris has been able to develop a relationship with the four-star, whose high school is just 15 minutes away from campus. “Our relationship is very good,” Scott said. “We talk weekly.” www.on3.com/college/south-carolina-gamecocks/news/it-was-pretty-special-cam-scott-talks-south-carolina-head-coach-lamont-paris/

The 6-foot-5 junior out of Lexington (S.C.) High is not new to the recruiting process, as he’s already officially visited the likes of South Carolina, Auburn, and Texas. However, there is a new school in the mix — Oregon. The Ducks are hosting him on campus for an official visit this weekend and Scott previewed that upcoming trip with On3... Along with the Ducks, Scott says Alabama, Texas, South Carolina, Georgetown, and Auburn remain involved. USC is the latest school to offer. He also might not be done with visits, as he’s contemplating trips to Alabama and USC." www.on3.com/college/oregon-ducks/news/cam-scott-previews-oregon-visit-talks-timeline-for-commitment/

"2. SG Cam Scott Four-star Cam Scott made some difficult shots, especially from deep, while sporting his new Oregon long sleeve. He visited the Ducks over the weekend. Scrappy defensively and bouncy. He was really aggressive offensively, which is a nice switch off from his usual passive self. Has a smooth shooting stroke. Scott is the No. 23 overall player in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings." www.on3.com/news/pangos-all-american-camp-mondays-top-performers/

"Pangos All-American Camp: The Cassidy Awards... CO-MVP: Cam Scott WHAT HE DID: The No. 20 prospect in the Rivals150 had himself a good few days in the desert, taking home co-mvp honors as decided by the camp. Scott, who gets downhill as well as anyone in the class, backed up his five-star status by averaging 24.8 points on 56% shooting at Pangos. Scott boasts a refined game and spent the week avoiding bad shots and staying within the offense while still managing to take over games. High basketball IQ plays and good shot selection can be rare in a camp setting, but Scott showed off both while scoring at a massive clip. RECRUITMENT: Auburn, Texas, USC, Alabama, Oregon and South Carolina are all in play for Scott." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/pangos-all-american-camp-the-cassidy-awards

"Pangos All-American Camp: Overall top performers... 3. Four-star SG Cam Scott Cam Scott, along with the aforementioned Flory Bidunga, were awarded Pangos All-American Cam Co-MVP awards. The lengthy 6-foot-5 wing from Lexington (SC) High showcased an impressive set of shotmaking skills that had him playing high-percentage basketball. Scott, who is the No. 19 ranked player in the updated 2024 On3 150, shot the three ball consistently, knocking down 56 percent of his attempts on the week. He also finished with explosion around the basket. This is the same type of scoring onslaught we have become accustomed to seeing from the two-time South Carolina 5A All-State and the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year recipient. The four-star shooting guard averaged 23.0 points on 65.7 percent shooting from the field and 56 percent shooting from three on 4.8 makes per game." www.on3.com/news/pangos-all-american-camp-overall-top-performers/

"Cam Scott was effortlessly one of the more productive prospects at Pangos All-American Camp last week. A 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Lexington (S.C.) also completed a visit to Oregon last week and enjoyed getting to spend time with the coaching staff. "It was a great visit with me just getting to know the coaches," Scott said on the Ducks. "I already had a previous relationship with Chuck Martin because he is from South Carolina. Meeting the coaching staff and getting to hoop with the players was pretty fun. It is one of the spots I can see myself at." In addition the Ducks, Scott has taken official visits to South Carolina and Texas. He says he is also considering visits to Alabama and Ole Miss." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/article/cam-scott-oregon-texas-south-carolina-alabama-211517082/

He's not coming here. No need to keep posting about him. He mentioned Georgetown as an option as recently as June 1. I think we should go with the kid's word over the speculation of an anonymous Internet poster.

He's not coming here. No need to keep posting about him. Boya is posting it exactly because he isn’t coming here.

C'mon professor, we don't have Patrick Ewing and his cronies on the staff anymore, it's not a fait accompli that we'll lose top recruits. We have Ed Cooley, he is getting paid big bucks and if a recruit less than 2 weeks ago said he's considering Georgetown, why wouldn't we believe him?

"When asked who’s keeping in touch most regularly, Scott named South Carolina, Auburn, Kansas, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Oregon. While he’s open to all, Scott conceded that there’s no shortage of reminders from locals that Colonial Life Arena is home. “People slide into my DMs all the time telling me about USC,” Scott said. “Or I’ll be out in public and people will tell me stories about how great South Carolina is. It’s wild, and it’s constant. I mean constant!” Scott is no stranger to Columbia; he’s taken two unofficial visits to South Carolina over the past two weeks. As for other visits, Scott has already taken an official visit to Oregon and has plans to take officials to Ole Miss, Texas and Alabama starting in late September." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/five-star-cam-scott-is-focused-on-getting-better
