Renewals have been sent out. I was curious what other long term season ticket holders are thinking. Were the offseason changes enough? Fired assistants, added Nickelberry, promoted Crouch, hired Baldwin late.
Had six transfer out and one early entry (undrafted). Brought in two freshman and 7 transfers. The talent level will clearly be better but that is off of a pretty low floor. Are you signing up for a full boat of home games or are you cancelling your season tickets and just going to hit up a game here or there? I hope no one answers that they won't go to a single game as we could field a CYO team and I would probably catch a game or two.

As a 20+ year season ticket holder what I'm struggling with this season has a lot to do with the state of CBB in general. Much of what I enjoyed in past years was watching new players join and then grow over their multi-year career at Georgetown. These days CBB seems to be more dominated by a bunch of mercenary type players that either join for a year or two or are gone after a year or two. Not casting blame on any one segment of the sport but the result and all the turnover leaves me somewhat cold.
I don't see this changing any time soon so I guess my future as a fan will depend on how I adjust to the new state of the sport.

Out of towner, not a season's ticket holder, but I will reply anyway -
I will be coming down to DC for the first home game I can, especially since last year's Dartmouth game crushed my sons' fait in the Hoyas and we need to fix that. Also hoping to catch several games in the NY metro-ish area, like 'cuse, @sju, @uconn.
In short, putting my money where my mouth is an counting on the Hoyas to give us some good games.

Some of my classmates that I saw at my 45th Reunion stated that they have decided to give up their season tix or reduce from 2 tix to 1. I decided to renew my 2 season tix because I talked to friends (non-Hoyas) who want the opportunity to bring their kids. grandkids or nieces and nephews to an occasional college basketball game and they indicated that they would buy the tix for games I don't attend. I also think I read that the contribution to retain each seat in my same location is still $750 per seat! EDIT: Just paid in full for 2. GO HOYAS!

I will not be renewing my season tickets, keeping my pledge from the end of last season. I will watch the games on tv to root for the boys and maybe show up for a game or two if it’s convenient. Changes at the top were necessary for me to renew. The off season of transfers and some changes are good but we will see if changes happen on the floor where it all really matters. Hope they happen one way or another so I can renew again.

The pandemic, the loose transfer rule, and the NIL all contribute to the current state of affairs.

Nickelberry can recruit. That’s all that’s really changed. That’s enough to dream of 10-10.

O.K., let's be real. No matter what you think about the head coach or last season, there's no way you can say that all that has changed is that Nickelberry is a good recruiter. Of course, what he does will affect the rest of the team. But, be real. Put last year's roster side by side with this year's. I was all excited and talking big before last season (blame it on being a Hoya homer, self-delusion, and unrealistic expectations - going 0-21 in the BE and losing to flipping Dartmouth have a way of sobering up even the most loyal fan). Now I'm talking it up again, and my relatives and friends are laughing and reminding me of last year. O.K., I gotta eat some humble pie, but just looking at a potential projected starting lineup and at who we have coming off the bench has me feeling like we will be competitive in most if not all games we play this year, we will be athletic and fun, and we will surprise a lot of people. We have players this year who will probably not see a lot of playing time that I would have loved to see playing last year (Bass, Anglin, Bristol, Mozone, a healthy Riley, and Heath/Spears/Akok). They're going to be hungry -- the summer has allowed most of them to play some pretty high level ball and hang with each other. I can't wait to see how it goes starting with Coppin State on Nov. 8.
Yes, the college game is changing and likely forever. Don't much like it & hope that time will force adjustments in the NCAA and the NBA that makes it more worthwhile to stay in college longer. I understand staying away if you can't buy into that. Staying away because you don't like the HC - think about it. He's gone out and made real moves and brought in legit players and new coaches. You might not agree with every addition or move, but you can't deny that the man is putting it out there to move the program forward. (Also, you can't complain about a lack of fans if you boycott -- I mean, you are one of the absent fans). In the end, it comes down to what happens between the opening tip and the final buzzer -- and that will be kids playing ball, and it's gonna be fun, exciting ball in the BE, and we will be playing Hoya basketball to be proud of. You sure you want to miss all that??? Can't wait -- hope to see you there! Hoya Saxa!

I’m not renewing. The only way to vote is with my feet. Live in CT and bought tix to support program but couldn’t even give away last few years. Embarrassing from top to bottom. Will root from afar but unfortunately not worth buying tickets.

10+ year partial season ticket holder not a Georgetown Alumni but a College basketball fan as long as the OOC schedule includes many 300 level team i would never buy season tix I would buy Big East Season tix if offered
also have partial season tix to GMU, GWU, and Howard
last year I attended 10 games solo and it was a trying experience
if my current relationship holds up (50/50?) i will get 2 tix to the following games
Villanova #24 UConn #7 Creighton #29 Xavier Marquette
if it doesn't i will get single tix and add in these 5 games
Seton Hall Northwestern Providence St Johns South Carolina
and hoping to find a very cheap lower level ticket for the season opener vs Coppin State

With the out of conference schedule I have no idea why anyone would buy tickets if it's considered anything more than a donation. If you are in the donating mood for basketball I would explore the NIL options or give to the academic side of the school. There is no reason to give to the basketball program itself. Nobody at the top deserves it after the last few years. If you want to get tickets for all the games to support the team they will be available for a fraction of what you pay unless you take some of the upper deck.
I also thought it was funny the players they used in the social media video for the fans were all transfers. Maybe that was by plan as to avoid the stink of last year. I just think that should be reserved for players that the fans already know. There aren't a lot to choose from but Dante, Ryan and Malcom would have been better choices.

There's no real reason to buy season tickets.
Anyone can attend the games far cheaper on a game by game basis.
