Short handed Tombs tonight played a team featuring James Gist and McCray. No frosh-Wallace, Ewing, JG, and Isaiah Swann played a team that had about 4 6'5 thick guys from PG and two quick guards. The guy behind me identified their other big man as James White from Newport.
Game started well with JG and PE controlling inside. JW and IS were 2 point guards controlling the pace. The half was well in hand. Interesting was that late in the half, Gist was calling for the ball and taking on Ewing. JG showed quickness and scored. Ewing answered. PE showed some thought in passing off on a possession while rising to the challenge. Half ended with Tombs up 44-31.
The second half was like the start of 3Q in an NBA game. Lots of loping then running with little production. Tombs however lapsed into a jump shooting offense with JW on the bench. Would have been OK if anyone was on.

Couple corrections...
- That wasnt Chris McCray...he wasnt even in the gym. That was Sterling Ledbetter. - James White isnt a big man...and also wasnt present in the gym. The only big men on their team was Gordon Klaiber from FDU and a kid who I cant seem to pronounce his name...formerly of Eleanor Roosevelt HS in MD.

Makes sense about McCray because the guy the PG fan identified as McCray looked 6'7". Had a nice perimeter game though. Cant vouch for the James White suspect. Makes the loss this much worse-we lose to lesser squad.

I've seen the same stat. Is Gist 6 7" then? They looked the same height in the huddle. Wasn't Ledbetter in an accident? He only stayed on the perimeter today but had a nice shot. Was he recruited as a point guard?

Gist is listed at 6'8....Ledbetter was in a pretty bad accident but made out okay...and he was recruited as a combo guard

D.C.Jammers consisted of James Gist, Sterling Ledbetter, Gordon Klaiber,he wore number 6( I think he's the one who was confused for James White), Darryl Proctor of Coppin State(he was the thick guy who hit the 3 that cut Tombs lead down to 77-76), and Noah Nichols(he was the other thick guy who wore number 14). Also number 12 for Tombs was former Hoya recruiting target Mamadi Diane.
