I'm 0-1 in starting these threads, but we know all too well it could be A LOT worse, so who am I to get unduly discouraged?
Line looks to be Hoyas 'dogs by 14.5 and O/U at 147.5.
Let's shock the Garden State and win what could be a preview of THE Garden and the BET Wednesday 9:30 game!

No really apt place to post this, but as a public service and for anyone who wants to see some good local hoops (at McDonough in part no less!), DC "State" tournament semis are at McDonough Friday/5pm with final Sunday 6PM at Smith Center/GW -- conveniently bracketing Hoyas' last BE regular season game Saturday. Bracket linked below. You'll see if things go "chalk" until then (and I think they will), Friday will be top seed/a really tough defensive team, Sidwell Friends (#2 in DMV) vs. a rather "meh" St. John's College Prep, and then Wilson vs. Gonzaga, with winners at Smith Center/6PM Sunday. Haven't seen Wilson play, but I think a Sidwell/Gonzaga final would be fabulous -- and a Sidwell/Wilson final would set up a "revenge" game for Wilson, which rather slept walk to a buzzer beating loss in this final to Sidwell a few years ago (that was the Wilson team with the Mitchell twins as I recall, who seemed disinterested for much of the game) cdn2.sportngin.com/attachments/document/c426-2121120/DCSAA_Class_AA_Boys_Basketball_Bracket.pdf

Aminu usually lets the game come to him, and that would be good on a decent team. I think he should be a little bit of a ball hog. He can get to the line, as he did in the 2nd half of the UConn game and maybe he would make some of the those "and 1." Only trouble is that he might be susceptible to offensive fouls. Patience has its virtue, but we are in need of a win.

Aminu struggles to finish at the rim so if he’s not getting a favorable whistle, head down, line drive to the basket usually results in turnovers.

Drive from the wing, flail into some long forward or center, throw up a brick and hope to catch it off the glass. Might as well be a turnover. No doubt the kid plays hard, just not very smart at this stage in his development. With the Patrick news, he better be back along with the core of this freshman class otherwise we are in a bizarro world. I'll take a Baldwin transfer Daddy hire at this point too.

If Aminu doesn't go pro (which he likely will), he isn't coming back to play college basketball for Patrick Ewing. How has the season with Ewing helped his stock? Answer: it clearly has not.

O/U on this thread length vs the AD announcement by the end of the night? I'm going to go with -2.5 pages.

Watch us win this game and “validate” the absurdity of today.

Iggy just nevet developed. Too bad we don’t have a decent big man coach to develop him.

Iggy just nevet developed. He regressed badly post-injury. He never really ever PROgressed. He’s always been pretty bad save for a game or 2 here and there. He’s basically Ewing’s version of Moses Ayegba

Iggy’s shooting free throws at a 35% clip this season. ☹️
