The Big East records are falling like dominos in the 800m and up on the men's side. It must be the shoes.

The women won the 4x800m
1 Georgetown GTWN A8:41.60 (2:07.90)
Splits were 2:10.84, 2:12.18, 2:10.70, 2:07.9. Providence was leading for the first three legs, but a great anchor leg put them 2 s up by Provy; Provy was ahead by 3 s starting the final lap.

The men won their 4x400 heat in 3:16.13 beating Nova head to head. Splits were 49.25, 48.81, 49.04, 49.05. So the worse they can be is 5th place, as the final heat has four good teams.

It seems as if the men finished 4th in a close battle for #2:
Connecticut207 2 DePaul99 3 Villanova96 4 Georgetown91 5 Butler88 6 Marquette41 7 Providence23 8 Xavier (Ohio)6
A couple of "what ifs" on the team scoring. If Matt Young had not be a DNS (injured?) and if Andrew Jordan had participated we surely would have come in 2nd and yes, beaten Nova.

Since Shea is running unattached this season, he went over to Boston to run in the last chance meet. And he won his mile heat (by 0.02 s) with a great 2nd half:
18 599 WEILBAKER, Shea JR Unattached 4:01.33 30.95 31.07 30.92 30.39 (30.95) (1:02.02) (1:32.94) (2:03.33) 30.18 30.20 29.14 28.49 (2:33.51) (3:03.70) (3:32.84) (4:01.33) 3 (1)

That's an awesome show of speed for a young long distance runner, especially getting the win to boot! Way to go, Shea!
