This race is set up to get some NCAA qualifiers in Winston-Salem, NC. The Hoyas surely have the runners for getting a qualifying time.

I don't know what happened. I guess Parker fell.
For those who livestream the race, what happened.

Georgetown has a bit of history in falling in the DMR.

Is the bad luck of the basketball team rubbing off on the DMR team?

Any chance of going to Notre Dame to compete in the DMR carnival there, like women.

The men's lineup at Notre Dame
1 Notre Dame (B) B 2 Ole Miss (A) A 3 Princeton (A) A 4 Wisconsin (A) A 5 Texas (A) A 6 Michigan (A) A 7 Northeastern (A) A 8 Indiana (A) A 9 Stanford (A) A 10 Michigan State (A) A 11 Notre Dame (A) A
It looks like too many teams; Georgetown fell with only five teams. Lots of pushing and shoving in the DMR. I guess the men will have to rely on their BE time, if they even have a DMR at the meet. I was counting on the Hoyas qualifying for the NCAA in the DMR.

I don't know what happened. I guess Parker fell. For those who livestream the race, what happened. Parker was directly behind the pacer, which was running slow. When the pacer was supposed to peel off, the runners from behind came up and crowded the pacer and Parker. Parker was tripped by the Penn State runner and there you have it. Parker looked ready to go. The official confirmed that Parker was tripped by Penn State.

Aaarrrggg!!! IF this were a national meet the Penn State runner would be DQ'ed and the Hoyas would move into the final. But it is not a national meet, just a setup to run fast. So it seems as if there is no recourse. I am sure that the Hoyas would get some points at the NCAA in the DMR. Thanks for explaining proudhoyadad.

The women finished 6th in the Alex Wilson DMR
6 Georgetown A 11:04.12 Riggins 6:24,184 (6:24,184) Drayton 4:39,934 (11:04,118) Dinneen Corman
I am not sure what those times are except for the final 11:04.12
EDIT: the times are the times after the 3rd leg (6:24.184), and the mile time (4:39.934).

The women's time beat all the women's times at the JDL DMR elite race, except Virgina Tech. The five who beat the women are Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Utah, Michigan, and Indiana.

In the men's race at Notre Dame, nine of the 10 teams beat the best time at the JDL race with Notre Dame winning with a fantastic time of 9:21,73, just nosing out Ole Miss at 9:21.94. The anchor leg for those nine teams were between 3:53 and 3:58.
On retrospect the men should have joined the women at the Alex Wilson meet. The track might be oversized (>200m).
