I think all he was trying to say is we are one of the best first half teams in the country.

Support the team or Shut up. Let’s go Hoyas! Some might argue that supporting the program would be hoping for change. Each loss might be one step closer to that. Not everyone who is critical of the program is a hater at this juncture.

I have a weird feeling this is the one? Or maybe I’m just committed to dying on the hill that we shouldn’t be that much worse than Creighton.
Would implore everyone to focus on Creighton’s defense. They’ve built a functioning one around a 7 footer by running people off the 3 point line and forcing them to challenge size at the rim. If Ryan can hit the 15 footer to pull Kalkbrenner away that would be huge

Looks like we are 6 point 'dogs, with at least this site below predicting we lose by much more... I know the teams are very different this year from last, but remember what team's (and coach's) butt we kicked in the BET final last year. Not sure if that matters at all or cuts one way or another but if I'm Greg McDermott or a player that was on the runner-up last year, I certainly remember it... www.oddsshark.com/ncaab/creighton-georgetown-university-odds-february-12-2022-1503751Line has moved considerably — we are now “only” 4 point underdogs on the above and it seems most other sites, and the prediction on this site has also narrowed considerably (but is still double digits). I don’t gamble and would never ever bet with my head rather than my heart when/if they diverge on the Hoyas even if I did, but just thought it was interesting movement to note…

It’s interesting to me that some of the betting odds seem to predict this as a close game. I don’t really see it. There’s no doubt that Creighton is struggling a bit offensively. They have scored in the 50s for three straight games, but they are actually 2-1 in that period with close wins over Connecticut and Butler along with a bad loss to Seton Hall. They still have NCAA Tournament aspirations, and I think they have to view this as an opportunity to get better and grab a couple wins. In some ways, I could see us having a better chance in the second game just because it is hard to beat any team twice in consecutive games.
Creighton has struggled offensively of late, but they are playing decent defense. I think their defense is more than good enough to give us problems. Providence has a decent defense and really slowed us down. We struggle with finding a consistent rhythm and have long scoring droughts. I don’t think a slow pace necessarily works in our favor.
Ultimately I see this game going like the most recent ones — we stay close for awhile, Creighton makes a run, and they put us away with some open threes and forced turnovers. It’ll be six or eight points, and then we will look up and it’s 24. We close it back to 12-15 and that’s it.
I hope later today I am completely wrong, but I have a hard time seeing a close game in this one.

Well, my Allen Iverson bobblehead got broken at work yesterday. Maybe it's a sign that we'll break our losing streak? Probably not...I wonder what I can get for the Coach Ewing one nowadays?
Anyway, I'll be watching as always. Hopefully we can impose our style on Creighton and get them off their game. Instead I expect them to rain 3s and see close to a 100 point game.
Go Hoyas! Beat the Jays!

Well, another chance to try and get this thing rolling via the time honored tradition of confidently taking open shots. Dante, stop and pop. Aminu, while I think you may indeed have a future in discus throwing, that is not a move that is going to get you better looks inside. Just go right up with it, maybe get fouled. Ryan, Tim, here’s a drill for you. When you get the ball inside of 10 feet, you have .3 seconds to shoot it at the basket, or you will be administered an electrical shock to your nether regions… Just flick that ball towards the tape square on the backboard behind the basket. Don, Kaiden, you know what to do.. fire away, boys!!
The tumblers will click eventually, here is hoping today is the day!

Today we find out if they players have checked out. I’m betting they haven’t but won’t be surprised if they have.

That was the most predictable panic early timeout call in history.

Not making the pass on that fast break is a bad sign for team chemistry.

Carey not making a pass there is a bad sign. That was just a bad break in general. No spacing and the trailer should have called for it.

That was the most predictable panic early timeout call in history. If Jay Wright make that timeout you would be saying great timeout coach. You people are a joke. Lmao!
