Really hoping Biden has Mancin and Sinema on board ... If Biden did his due diligence, he should have secured their commitments before making his selection. Additionally, IIRC Graham, Collins and Murkowski voted for Judge Jackson for her DC Circuit judgeship. Assuming he loses Graham on Judge Jackson (because he's sore that Childers not the choice plus he's a sniveling hypocrite) maybe Collins and Murkowski still vote for Jackson, offsetting potential "no" votes from Manchin and Sinema.
Due diligence does not matter when you are dealing with people that are not acting in good faith like Machin and Sinema. Expecting Collins or Murkowski to vote for Jackson - ROFL
They already did once!

Barring any disqualifying item uncovered in a background check (of which there will be none) Judge Jackson should sail through the confirmation process and anyone who voted for her for the Circuit and now votes against should be excoriated for rank hypocrisy as well as incompetence. President Biden has made his selection and she should be rapidly confirmed as an Associate Justice.

I hope you are right, but expecting Graham to be a bit concerned that he'll be excoriated for rank hypocrisy is humorous. Collins, to a greater degree, might feel badly if seen as a hypocrite, but when push comes to shove, she actually gets in McConnell's party line more often than not. Murkowski, having survived being successfully primaried once, seems like she's actually somewhat capable of wanting to be seen as less than hypocritical. Her current primary opponent, Tshibaka, is a non-entity and already a practiced hypocrite running against DC Insiders, despite this resume:work including in the offices of inspector general for the U.S. Postal Service, Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice. But, Tshibaka has Trump's backing. Last time Murkowski survived being primaries, she was up against a Palin protege, a lesser coattail.

I was wondering if Biden could nominate and ask the senate to advise and consent on multiple supreme court candidates. That way if another opening were to occur late in Biden's term, even if the Democrats did not control the Senate, he would still get his appointment seated on the court. I still will never understand why Obama as his last act before stepping down did not appoint Merrick Garland to the court by saying the Senate leadership was derelict in its duty under the constitution. The constitution says the Senate "shall" advise and consent. The Constitution doesn't say the Senate gets to decide if and when to do their job.

I will guarantee that Jackson will be treated much better by Republicans than Democrats treated Kavanagh -and others.

I will guarantee that Jackson will be treated much better by Republicans than Democrats treated Kavanagh -and others. This assumes that Democrats were wrong for pointing out what Kavanaugh actually was, a mindless frat boy and serial harasser. This implies that Democrats and some Republicans were wrong for rejecting Bork, Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre hatchet man. This implies that Democrats were also wrong for calling out Judge Long Dong Silver. All 3 had major disqualifying character issues, to anyone but a partisan Republican., who has different standards.. This assumes the Republicans are right for calling out Judge Jackson for what she is not, a leftist.

In today’s episode of “Originalism is a Meaningless Means to an End” we have Mike Davis. Davis is a federalist society member and former clerk for Justice Gorsuch.

Let me know when Mike Avenatti shows up with fabricated witnesses against Judge Jackson… Avenatti’s witness’ claims of a “train” are seared into my hippocampus…

Perfect example of the culture of crying about white male victimhood into which the GOP has fallen. Pobrecito Justice Kavanaugh.

On a side note what happened to that book deal you said was inevitable??

On a side note what happened to that book deal you said was inevitable?? No one got screwed worse than Garland. As for the book deal, perhaps publishers are worried about libel.

Justice Thomas who regularly talks to Ron Desantis talked about politicizing the court at an event put on by Orrin Hatch. Oh, and..

I'm kind of worried that the West Virginia weasel will receive dark money orders to shiv the Jackson nomination.
