Is Tombs vs Clydes a certainty? or is it an assumption based on the quality of the teams?
When is that game going to take place?
Thanks!

I think that was an assumption based on quality of teams.
Problem is, I think the actual finals sometimes falls so late that summer session is out, and the Hoyas either can't play (per NCAA rules) or maybe they've gone home.

That shouldn't be an issue this year, as the finals are scheduled for August 7th, and 2nd session doesn't end until August 12.

Well, if the Tombs are able to keep their lineup intact throughout they should be alomost guaranteed to make the Finals.
As for the team they'll face it looks like Clyde's wil be it. But Clyde's suffer from something that affects most KL teams: their roster keeps changing week-to-week. There have been some studs on Clyde's one week who aren't around the following week but still replaced by other by other good players. But what happens if most of those good non-GU players don't show up for a tourney game. That could be trouble. Of course I should point out that many teams only get serious during the tourney. That's when all their big players show up...some for the very first time. If Clyde's get the #2 seed they may have to face Universal Madness. When Universal Madness has all of its players suiting up they are still arguably as good as any team. UM definitely could knock off Clyde's or even the Tombs. But Universal has been a shell of itself since the Tombs' game a few weeks back. They didn't show up against Clyde's on Friday. And on Sunday it was mostly the B team for Universal and they got beat fairly easy.
By the way what has happened to the GW players? Has Coach Hobbs barred them from appearing in anymore games? I didn't see any for their respective teams on Sunday.
As for the tourney itself this is the last week of position play. Tombs have two more games (Wednesday and Saturday which is the last pre-tourney day). The KL quarterfinals start on Tuesday Aug 2nd with the second half of games being played on Wednesday. On saturday there is the semifinals. And on Sunday, Aug 7th, is the championship game. My darkhorse is Bowie State. Maybe Symonds All Stars.
Since I'm a long way from writing up my Sunday report in my KL thread let me share a few tidbits:
Sead finally played. But he didn't have much to show for it. That's all I'll say for now. He may need to introduce himself to his teammates though.
Ewing had such an early vicious dunk during the first half that during halftime they had to lower the basket and fix it.
Crawford is a freakin' warrior. No quit in that guy.

I'm sorry. In the white jersey years The Tombs wouldn't win KL.

Ewing had such an early vicious dunk during the first half that during halftime they had to lower the basket and fix it. The rim was off all day. Roy had a dunk during warmups that caused the rim to become unhinged.

I didn't even mention his dunk on the fast break. That was even better.

The rim first became unhinged in the first game of the day when Delaware incoming freshman Matt Hewson dunked on it.
