Intrigued that there isn’t a thread for this as I made aware just recent of the matter but Stan Kroenke most notably to me is the owner of Arsenal Fc and the LA Rams but many other teams. To my current understanding (feel free to correct me) a few years back they moved the Rams from St. Louis but then the city sued the league with everyone involved and Kroenke had signed an agreement to pay all legal fees and costs since they figured this might come but is now trying evade it and not pay his dues. (Arsenal fans begging to sell the club to maybe take care of this situation but i don’t think he will as it is a cash cow to him nothing more) Truly pathetic. He is such a plague on sports and the world at large, his entertainment company a couple years back released a channel that featured programs of spoiled rich white people hunting endangered species for trophies. www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32486646/los-angeles-rams-owner-stan-kroenke-angers-nfl-owners-financial-pivot-related-lawsuit-st-louis-move-sources-say%3fplatform=amp

The NFL is trying to keep the lid on two stories that could cause a lot of PR misery for the league. This is one of them.
The city of St. Louis' lawsuit could well top $1 billion and Kroenke wants to shift liability across the owners who approved the sale. It's like getting into a car crash after you bought a new car and sending the bill to the car dealer. The lawsuit could open the door on a lot of the NFL's finances with Roger Goodell (he of the $64 million per year contract) wants no part of.
Kroenke's strongest advocate is Jerry Jones, who pushed hard for the owners to approve moving the Rams and approving the Sofi Stadium deal over a proposal by the Raiders to relocate to Carson, CA. A quote of interest: "Jones indicated that Kroenke's settlement figure was billions of dollars. Pash refused to confirm the figure -- a source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN it was less than a billion -- but told those in the meeting that it was more than the net worth of some in the room." No word if there are still sore feelings from Mark Davis, but the level of detail in that article from a confidential owners-only meeting suggests someone took notes and talked about it. The NFL might settle to keep Pandora's box closed - could St. Louis be on a fast-track for the next team to relocate?
Meanwhile, there is Dan Snyder's years of mismanagement and serious claims of harassment within Redskins Park. NFL owners could vote to strip Snyder of the franchise but he would then sue with everything he's got and another Pandora's box opens about how many owners knew of it and looked the other way. If the NFL doesn't move fast, Snyder will build a white elephant stadium in Loudoun County without transit access (much like Jack Kent Cooke did moving to Landover) and saddle a new owner with a facility he doesn't want. Best case scenario is that the NFL finds a Bezos or Musk to write Snyder a $3 billion check to get lost and a new stadium doesn't go to Ashburn. Worst case is that a very public squabble not only brings Snyder down but Goodell and a few of the other owners themselves.
Very worst case scenario is the NFL hits two birds with one stone and Snyder gets his money and sells the WTF's to St. Louis.

The Kroenke story has gotten some play here in LA. Personally, I think what he's doing is outrageous.
