Saw this one discussed on another board and found it to be an interesting question for our team. Discuss.

I think that if Wallace or Hibbert pick up their offensive production it won't really be a surprise beacuse we know that they are both improving a great deal during the Kenner League season and they played significant amounts of minutes last year. Just judging from what I head about him I would guess that Egerson will be the surprise of next year.

Kind of tough because I think the only way Wallace or Hibbert surprise is if they regress. I think those two have reasonable expectations on them to get more consistent and improve physically which by itself makes us that much better.
So I think I have to go with Tyler at this point. He's strong, physical, and showed he can play in this league if he gets the minutes. If any player is ready to give us better minutes, it's TC.
TC's strength will be a big asset for this team. He'll be able to frustrate a lot of players and wear them down just by dogging them. A lot of subtle advantages are gained this year by players like TC playing the three for 10-15 minutes and just wearing his man out by constantly moving, pushing, and cutting before making the same guy guard a fresh Brandon. That's what versatile depth can do.

I agree- Tyler is VERY talented and works very hard- he's up at Yates all the time. He can shoot, but he can really defend and if given the chance, he'll wear some stringy 2s and 3s from the opposing team out.

I've been a big TC supporter, but he's getting enough love. So I'm going with Josh Thornton. When Josh first signed, I thought he was a perfect fit for the system, and I still do.
Since then, I think people have felt a bit disappointed in Josh, or maybe just more excited about others. But the only real knock I've heard on Thornton is his shot selection.
I've heard that before. About Brandon, about the whole team. JTIII and co. came in and made everyone a better shooter by having them take better shots and by improving their form when doing so. Somehow I think we'll see Josh more in "9 threes in a HS game" mode than some of the erratic Kenner showings he's had.
Sure, he may not get PT for other reasons. But I'd bet he wins at least one game for us DJ Owens style -- with a barrage of treys.
(And that was post #2,500...I need a new life or a new job.)

I sed Egerson, he just has that nack for the ball, and the all-around game to come in and help out this squad. I think all the incoming freshman will contribute in many ways, but I see Marc doing the most. Egerson has the body already and can run. I also think if Sapp can get into the thick of things, he can really contribute to. Also, if Thorton gets his shots, and doesnt shoot the ball everytime he has it in his hands, he can get us some clutch points, when we need it.
