My wife and I went to the Kenner last night to see Clyde's vs. Universal Madness All Stars. The good news was that Clyde's was clearly the best team on the court. The bad news was that they were the only team on the court!
Universal managed to muster just two players. I guess after the drubbing by the Tombs that they did not want anything to do with any Hoyas. One of the two brought his own cheering section consisting of about 20 young girls. I suppose he expected to play.
What a bummer. Even the snack bar was closed. All in all a total loss. I am trying to figure out how I can get back my $1.00 parking fee.
You'd think that they'd be able to put something together, perhaps Clyde's could've donated 3 players to Universal and they could've played an exhibition.

Indeed! I got back from the Big Island of Hawaii this week, still somewhat jet-lagged, only to discover that the highlight of the evening would be watching Ashanti clown around in warm ups with his imitation of Brandon's on-court moves (the backside-flip dribble-step was hilarious). Fortunately, Brandon, Tyler, Jonathan and JG thought so as well...
I'll try to be there tomorrow, if a bit bleary-eyed. A funny story from the trip: Mrs. WBH was there on a conference; I'm "accompanying" on vacation but stupid enough to bring my laptop. We decide to drive around the island one day (no small feat since it's the size of Connecticut--without venal/corrupt/whiny bball coaches) and the highlight for me is driving by U. of Hawaii-Hilo. More exciting than volcanoes, breathtaking tropical-waterfalls overlooking black-sand beaches, and the southernmost point in the US. JT2 would have been excited as well!

Why should we play these guys during the year? They had a chance to make a statement yesterday and did not show. Maybe the GWUers should send them a petition rather than their student government.
