I am deeply saddened at the news regarding my friend SirSaxa. We shared a background in media and a love for jazz in addition to Hoya mania. I was always appreciative of his warm, upbeat posts about the basketball team and felt very fortunate to finally meet him at the January 21,2006 coming out party versus Duke.
Until he began battling health issues he was one of our most prolific posters. For me he is a first ballot HoyaTalk Hall of Famer. I can see him now avidly viewing the Hoya resurgence beginning in a couple of months. May he rest in peace and power!š

This is very sad news. Condolences to his family. I was impressed by reading his obit. He lived quite a life, especially in the music world. I was happy to read about his Blue Planet Foundation. It will be a lasting memorial to him. May he rest in peace.

Sad news about our good friend SirSaxa, a Hoya fan for over 50 years! A little SirSaxa trivia; he was in attendance at JT's first and last games. That's some select company amongst Hoya fans.
Just the best guy you could imagine and his sons Chris and Brian follow in his footsteps. RIP my friend. Glad you got to see one last BET Championship. You will be missed.

Damn. Met him at the BET a handful of times. Enjoyed talking hoops with him. Tough loss for the Hoya family.

One of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. His passion and perspective will be sorely missed. if there's a HoyaTalk Heaven then you know they'll have one hell of a band.

I join many others in being deeply saddened by this news. It is heartbreaking. He was so consistently positive and wonderful. I was blessed to spend lots of time in his company at BE tournaments. Rest in Peace kind friend. We will miss you so much.

A fixture at the BET and Cafe 31. A gentleman who was always looking at the positive in the Hoyas, something I often found difficult to do if we were not cutting down the nets at MSG.
I am not surprised by how impactful his life was. Thoughts and prayers with the Reed family. Rest in peace, Stephen.
