I think the way most schools treat these situations is insane and that they give in way too much to outside pressure and do not let the process play out. I am glad that GU has more patience.

The timeline I have suggested repeatedly for any coach doing a rebuild is eight to ten years. That gives a chance for several cycles of recruits to come through. That is not at all in line with any other high major basketball school in the country. I understand that Ewing's the greatest player in program history, but the idea that we'd give him $30M-$40M before judging whether he's figured out how to coach is asinine. So nobody can call you a hater but you can call those w more patience asinine. Got love consistency

Does anyone have any insight on how Tim is looking going into the season or what we can expect from him even based on past seasons. I feel like I just know nothing about him as a player since the majority of his few minutes thus far in his career have been in garbage time. Ron of HoyaReport has info on how he looked in the Temple game. Think it's behind a paywall though.

Lincoln went down great in history. Davis not so much....Revisionist history is not recognizing how poorly everyone played until Akinjo was gone. Allen, Juggy, and Morko struggled and you could tell a weight was lifted after Akinjo and to a slightly lesser extent Leblanc left the team... I was wrong about the ranking but we were right outside the rankings in the preseason and right after the Duke loss. It doesn't change the overall point that Ewing had the ship sailing in the right direction and something he couldn't really plan for sank the ship. I guess some of you never were forced to play a sport with someone that you have to walk on eggshells around. You can't reach your full potential in that case. Not getting into the argument but 100% very close after the Texas win and if we didnt get clearly screwed by the refs against duke then we would've been well into the top 25 that game still annoys me so much lol In the poll after the Hoyas 1-1 trip at MSG, Georgetown got exactly 1 vote. You have to remember that they had already been blasted at home by Penn State.

Which I also took issue with...

While I do not necessarily always see eye-to-eye with hoyalove4ever, hoyalove4ever has always been incredibly consistent in wanting to give Georgetown's coach (whoever it is) a very long tenure to see whether he can succeed at Georgetown. We can diagree, of course, but the position clearly comes from a principled place, which I respect.

Needs to get PT if he's going to have a pro career somewhere.

With 5 freshmen, 1 transfer, and lots of guys who played limited minutes last season, I don’t think we’ve gone into a season with more unknowns. Also with no Kenner the last two years we’ve never seen even summer league games for these guys. Dante Harris and Don Carey are really the only guys we’ve seen play extended minutes in a Hoyas uniform. Crazy. No idea what to expect but can’t wait to at least start seeing what we have.

51. Hoya Paranoia: Patrick Ewing enters Year 5 as the head coach, and fortunately for him, he does so with an NCAA tourney berth on his resume after a surprising Big East tourney title last season. Georgetown’s 26-44 in Big East play with Ewing at the helm, so we’ll see if the Hoyas can build on the tournament appearance or instead return toward the bottom of the league. watchstadium.com/68-storylines-to-follow-in-college-basketball-this-season-11-08-2021/

You gotta be all kinds of desperate to make it to the bottom of a Syracuse blog post, and all kind of clueless to think anyone on here gives a damn about what idiocy you found.

I suggest you put that in quotes or else other people like me will assume you’re the one saying it. Certainly is believable.
