Telling that this megalomaniac was in his position since 2006... and that the Syracuse AD wishes him "all the best." It's not like they made a bad hire and then discovered and rectified their mistake quickly. People in positions of power knew that there was malfeasance afoot and chose to do nothing.
Side note: I get the desire to keep things 'professional' in the public domain - after all, we gave Gordie Ernst a seemingly clean bill of health on his way out the door. But his offenses were against the University, and so it was the University's prerogative to underplay that if it so choose (even if I strongly disagree with that choice). Hillsman's victims were young student-athletes.

Russky, I agree that Georgetown should have been more public about why Ernst was fired. I'm going to disagree, however, that Ernst's crimes were just against the University. Every spot Ernst sold was one that was not available to an innocent applicant. And for the players that he coached, how disheartening must it have been that he viewed the team as an ATM machine.

If I'm the prospective employer, that is a red flag to me and I wpuld go back to ask more questions on the nature of the reference.

Thanks. I stand corrected. Sadly, I gave the university administration more credit than was due.

Back on topic this dude physically made young women uncomfortable and one of the allegations mentioned inappropriate texting like wtf is wrong you people to let this guy keep going. Just horrible. Another one of the many ways in recent years showing universities are money farms with students as collateral damage on their way to another dollar
