Thanks for posting. Anglin looks real nice in this game featuring a host of talented players. Looking forward to getting him on campus and playing some Kenner this summer!

Some of his passes here are very high level. But apparently he sees the court like McClung? Ha.

I am really glad Anglin stuck with Georgetown despite the tough season and will be joining us, I am optimistic he will be a really nice four year player for us.

Interesting that both Murray (Justin Lewis) and Anglin (Naz Cunningham) were overshadowed by teammates. Something to prove...

Gill St B's also had McKenzie Mgbako. Not sure Anglin sees himself as having been overshadowed. What it may prove is that he's ready to play team basketball from day one, find a role and fill it.

Jordan Riley has some competition in regards to dunking.

Jordan Riley has some competition in regards to dunking. Wow! I would think Jordan would win this easily.

Jordan Riley has some competition in regards to dunking. This previous season we thought we had a pretty athletic team with Riley, Pat’s most athletic recruit ever, and jumping-over-opponents-for-dunks Beard leading the way. It looks like that group will have nothing on next year’s team with athletic freak Bass, jumpy Denver, best defender Bristol, best defender 2.0 Murray, flash Dante and Riley back. Have you seen the Primo, Jay and Bryson videos? I know we cannot play 13 players and everyone be happy, but who is going to sit? I can only see the LSU late addition Eziwiro and Riley (only if he’s not 100%) sitting. IMO, this group is a Top 5 finisher in the BE regular season and at-large NCAAT team.

I can only see the LSU late addition and Riley (if he’s not 100%) sitting. This is really a question that I think will be impossible to answer until we see what we have with the roster. Murray is not going to sit, and Wahab will not sit, though he is probably be limited a little for endurance reasons. Akok is clearly our best option for the 4, and 5 if we play small ball, so health permitting, he's going to play too. I imagine Dante Harris will play a fair amount to start the season, and Heath if he's eligible. To me, the two big wild cards are (a) who can defend, and (b) who has skills rather than simple athleticism. Ewing has recruited other athletic guys along the way over the last five years, but in many instances they are guys who, while athletic, are limited in the skills department. In my mind, there are going to be guys who differentiate themselves by the time we get to December with offensive skills, too. If I had to guess, I would say that the guys vulnerable to shrinking minutes are: - Riley - in part because he's recovering from injury, and may not be 100% - Ezewiro - I just think he's too far down the depth chart to get more than backup minutes - Mutomobo - same as Ezewiro; it'll partly depend on his development, but he's squarely behind Wahab on the depth chart - Bass - he may be athletic, but I am not sure he has the skills to really warrant a ton of playing time, but if I were Ewing I'd definitely give him a chance at the beginning of the season. Sitting here today, I would be surprised if those 4 guys get more than minimal playing time (and if somehow Wilson is on the roster, I don't imagine he will play at all other than garbage time). As far as the guards are concerned, IF Heath is eligible, one of Harris/Spears/Anglin/Bristol are going to probably see limited playing time once it's more clear who has the better skills. That would take us down to an 8 person rotation, with a couple of guys getting fewer minutes. And realistically, with injuries, COVID, etc., the odds of someone on the roster unexpectedly being unavailable is pretty high (in eyeballing our roster over the last 10 years, there are maybe 2-3 seasons max without a significant injury). While I have generally criticized Ewing's rotations (which seem, from a fan perspective, to be somewhat haphazard, rather than strategic), by the time January rolls around, I'd be surprised if more than 8-9 guys are playing significant minutes.

Aminu averaged 32 mpg. I think we see Bryson and Murray playing around those minutes. Bryson didn’t come here to spend his last eligible season on the bench and Pat has shown he will run his best players to the ground. If they can handle it, both will play a lot. That will limit Riley and Bristol, unless they are as good as advertised.
I can see Bass having to help at the 4 and playing at LeBlanc’s freshman level. Color me impressed with his versatility, aggressiveness and athleticism, plus his college-ready size.
Dante played 30 mpg his freshman year and 32 mpg last year. I think this season he will average around 25 mpg. With more control by the staff, Dante will improve his offensive efficiency.
Really, this is a no-excuse roster.

Don't sleep on Ezewiro. He will get more minutes then you think. The kid is a beast around the rim and a very physical player.

Jordan Riley has some competition in regards to dunking. I would have guessed Bass would have been up there considering he did the high jump also in high school and I believe placed in states. Slightly different but you definitely need to be athletic.

Who was the main recruiter for Denver? For Bass? This is from the Anglin recruting thread, originally posted by Yaboy in July 2021: “I’ve been talking to them for a long time. They offered early in my career. I like talking to [Patrick Ewing] and Coach [Akbar] Waheed. The other coaches are cool, too. It’s been a great process.” -- Anglin to Rivals.com

It has been a tough season, and no doubt frustrating to Anglin, but I fail to see "the dark side" or anything grimey. Beat out the guy in front of you or prepare to sit.
