Haven't seen anything about it here at all, so here's a big "WHO HOO!" for the few Wisconsinites on this board. Bucks don't always play very pretty, but that was fun.

Amen to that! And even if they don't play pretty, damn is it fun to watch Giannis!

I loved his quote:

Last team standing in a year when injuries decimated many teams. The Suns would not have beaten the Clippers (or possibly the Lakers) without their injuries, and I seriously doubt whether the Bucks would have beaten Uncle Jeff and the Nets but for their injuries.

I mean, can’t you say the same thing basically every year? Raptors beating the Dubs w/o Klay and Durant? Dubs beating the Rockets w/o Paul? Etc.

Injuries are just part of the game. If you beat the team in front of you, you advance. What do you call the last team standing? Champions.

I have been a Bucks fan for a long time. I have been through the sports desert. I was at game 6 with my son. It is something I will never forget!

Absolutely true for the Raptors, but I don't think there has ever been a year quite like this one, where injuries significantly affected almost every series - but not the finals.

No question that with the short off-season, the compressed schedule, and COVID protocols, there has never been a year like it. And truthfully, I think you'll still see some of that next year, until things truly get back to normal. But I don't think that makes the Bucks any less worthy of the chip, unless you want to devalue previous years' winners as well.

No knock on the Bucks, they have a very good team and are a legitimate champ, even if good fortune was very much on their side. It's hard to believe they haven't won since Kareem. Also, keep it under your hat, but I think there's a decent possibility that Milwaukee could be champion town this year.
