True to form, he's basically shilling for one of his adored coaches. Here is the first line:

Not sure why I read that, I just knew it would make me angry somehow, but you have to love when Dickie V writes, without a hint of irony:
As if it has nothing to do with the demands of his network and their insistance on getting a rematch of any game CBS wants. No, no- it is about "getting rivalries going," because there are clearly no existing rivalries in the Big East, at least none that involve Rick Pitino.

As a noted Vitale basher, I have to give him some credit as he wrote in last Month's Basketball Times column that it was " a wise decision by talented SF Brandon Bowman to return to what is a young and on the rise program at Georgetown". This was followed up by Dick "Hoops" Weiss praising JT III's recruiting ability and commitments from Dajuan Summers and Jeremiah Rivers. He also mentioned that III's "best recruiting decision" was to hire "Kevin Broadus who is known as the best recruiter in Baltimore/DC-and a great young coach".--which can be said for this Staff--they are known for being able to develop players and also spotting talent--which most programs don't have--they either have a strong recruiter or strong bench coach. That's why I think we're all so high on the program's direction and seeing recruits feel the same.
