Fwiw the Va Tech board doesn't seem very hopeful. Hopefully that's a good sign for us but we'll see. Kid is a straight dawg.

It's so incredibly Georgetown that an assistant coach that has not been officially announced is giving a tour on campus to a 5 star alongside a former Georgetown player that has no official role with the staff.

Ron from Hoyareport insinuated it’s because paperwork is processing. Relax. He’s clearly the third assistant.

What kinda impact/production are we expecting of him from Y1, if he were to come here?
Dajuan summers level?Jeff green level?Otto porter level? Or... Mikael Hopkins? Nate Lubick?
Also, would you rather have Ward or Whitemore, both being local? Whitemore can shoot lights out and a McDAA...

Will Allen ever become a college coach?? If Ewing sticks around for a few years I think you will see him take on a Crouch like Special Assistant role or DOBO in short order. He's at pretty much every home game behind the bench. He works for a DMV basketball skill training company (one of their clients - Tyrell Ward). It seems like a natural fit.

Thats a pretty strong I'm staying vibe.

Just wanted to gouge the realistic expectation of this kid when people have been saying unrealistic stuff about Beard and Jalin befofe they even stepped foot on the campus and look what happened

Done deal, Ward to Hoyas. Brooks is going to be paid a lot of money. I hope Ward sees some of it. He’s mortgaging his future playing for Ewing, so hopefully he invests his couple hundred grand effectively.

I was down on Ewing too but he’s our coach and he has some momentum. If he pulls some of these transfers off we could find ourselves back next year. Seems like you’re prepared to die on your hill. Stubborn Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things

I was actually on your side for a lot of the pushback you received in the early going on Ewing because ultimately I believe you are/were right about him as a head coach... ...but every post just comes off as painfully childish and exhausting at this point. We get it you hate everything Hoya/Ewing related...I absolutely guarantee if Brooks and potentially Ward went somewhere else you would complain we should have gotten them both. There is zero winning with you...and you can see it coming from a mile away each time.

He also better hope the Hoyas suck again next year or he’s pretty much left with two choices. 1) crawl back on here with his tail between his legs or consistently cheer against the Hoyas and die on his hill. Both seem pretty unappealing to me. I’m a cynic and pessimist to a fault but damn boya…. Live a little. Let’s get Ward and make some waves!!

Landing Ward will be the biggest recruiting win in the Ewing era. Even if Aminu was a higher rated prospect, landing a top guy from DeMatha could have a ripple effect in the future locally.

This would be a thrilling addition. I loved Murray coming here and acknowledge Ward would likely not be here without Brooks, but man, getting a top talent from DeMatha, under any context, is a huge, HUGE move. Different than getting a top transfer. Our local recruiting could really take off. Hoya Saxa!
