Nice shout out by Patrick to John Chaney and his family. Agreed. For all of the negatives that some like to harp on here with regard to the legacy of the Thompson family, that part of the legacy is, IMO, exceedingly important to hold onto. May what Big John stood for never leave the DNA of Georgetown as a whole.

BTW, who's wearing Bile's jersey? That's not the same guy I was criticizing earlier this season.

I think these people on here talking smack about the Thompson family/family tree don't know what the hell they are talking about.

I'm curious, what do you think was figured out at the team meeting based on these last two games? What was stressed? The team looks more cohesive and composed in my opinion. Maybe slowed down a fraction, so rash decisions are lessened. I don't know, but they are more together and talking to each other.

Hey guys, I looked at Bile's stat sheets for tonight's game and he took 13 shots and made 7 of them and he finished with 17 points!

Hoyas had the odd 57% FG and 60% 3PT in the first half. I was concerned what was going to happen to shooting in the 2nd half. Hoyas moved to attacking and were 25% 3PT in the second and 48% FG.
I think this is one of the things I'm most happiest about as transitioning the game half to half has been rough. Ewing early in the season was barking to players what to do, but they weren't shifting their games. Now the players are shifting their games and coach is barking a little less.
The other thing that stood out is how much the defense improved in the last two games than before the break. Even Blair is picking up good footwork and positioning, which he hadn't picked up in the 3.5 years prior. Way to go Blair! Also Blair's 6 assists were great to see (still not close to being a point guard, but involving teammates more and finding the open players is good).

Creighton isn't exactly Press Virginia, but successfully handing their full court press in the last few minutes went a long way to overcoming Harris's 2 late bad fouls and Blair's step back 3 with >10 seconds in the shot clock that led to a CU fast break and 3. Was nice to hear Patrick telling Lavin in the postgame interview that they emphasized keeping them off the 3 point line. Happy for the team to beat a top 25 team.

I think the difference was coach's adjustment of starting Bile over Carey. Carey hasn't put up numbers but Bile has. Tonight he scored 17 on 7 out of 13 shooting.

Congrats to coach Ewing, coaching staff and players. Big win for the Hoyas program moving forward. Creighton has been a big problem for far too long not tonight. Hoya Saxa!

It was a long walk down court I saw it too. I hope he's okay and gets treatment if necessary.
