Do you enjoy anything? I knew who wrote this without seeing your handle. Who really is your favorite college basketball team. If you hate Coach and the team this much, please go to someone else's page and talk $hit about us there. Keyboard tough guy. What would you say if you happened to see Coach or the players in person. Would you say anything to them? No the phuck you wouldn't. Other than good game, wishing you the best. Perhaps I am wrong, doubt it. No, I’ll keep my comments here. Yeah, I figured as much.

No, I’ll keep my comments here. Yeah, I figured as much. I’m not going away. As for what I’d say to the coach or players, I wouldn’t be confrontational but if it came up, I’m sure I’d say this is no good. They already know this is a mess so why bother lying to them?

Winning is better than losing but nothing could better illustrate the dire state of this team than this celebration of a win over the 336th ranked team who was missing two of its top seven players. On the same night, Illinois, also in year four with a new coach in a rebuilt, blew out Duke. This is still a disaster. You could have just left it at the first part. To me though, I am also celebrating that we handily beat the spread (+20.5) while getting time for Freshman that we hadn't seen yet (and they didn't lose the lead). I'm also celebrating that we saw some in-game adjustments (not even half-time) from Pat that won the game and ballooned that lead. Ya know, there can be positives in every dark storm. Pat will be replaced someday, but you can enjoy some things for now. Also I promise you the admin does not come to this board to read your opinion and take it into consideration for replacing Pat. Might as well just start sending hand written letters to 37th & O and you can see how that one goes.

It must make you very sick moaning all the time and not being able to do anything about that problem. You know they tell me that when grown men, as fans, who put so much emotional investments in sports team and their sport's team doesn't win on a regular basis, it can make that grown man fan become depressed and suffer from anxieties. Worst, they say that spending a lot of time cheering for a sports team, especially a bad sport's team is not a good thing if you don't find another outlet in life to occupy your time. You're sure you are alright buddy? You seem to be exhibiting some of those symptoms buddy. I am a little concern about you pal.

Anyone know our record for most TOs in a game? 36 against Souther N.O. This doesn't even crack the top 10. Most Turnovers 1 Southern-N.O., 11/29/1995 36 2 Notre Dame, 1/15/1974 32 3 Bethune-Cookman, 12/8/1999 32 4 Morgan St., 12/19/1992 31 5 Bethune-Cookman, 12/18/1997 30 6 Southern-N.O., 12/5/1992 30 7 Southern-N.O., 12/1/1993 29 8 Arkansas, 11/27/1994 28 9 North Carolina, 12/7/1989 28 10 3 other games 27 The only thing Coppin State does well is turn people over. So it wasn't just us. Duke had 22 turnovers, GW had 20, and Drexel had 15. They were in the 30s nationally in TO% prior to our game. Not to excuse the sloppiness, but that's what their defense is predicated on, so we should cut the team a little slack.

There are a few people on this board who owe Bile an apology. He had an off game or two and people were willing to write him off. He was largely responsible for giving the Hoyas the lift they needed to get going late in the first half. I don't know. He's such a black hole on offense. He shoots 95% of the time he touches the ball. The ball just stops when it gets to him. We had a great sequence of passing that had Coppin scrambling but when it got to him the ball stuck and he ended missing a contested long 2pt shot. He'll get his points when he's on like last night, and if he continues to hit at that rate, great, but if he shoots like the first two games he's a major drag on the offensive flow( what little there is). He should not be using 29.4% off all possesions and 28% of our shots.

Does this often happen? From the stats chart the Hoyas doubled CSU efforts. Yes, even the TOs.
COPPIN GU FG% .273 .547 3FG% .211 .435 FT% .333 .706 RB 29 53 TO 12 26

THE TURNOVERS! THE TURNOVERS! PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP! Yeah, we won by 30, and it was nice to have Sibley and Berger sitings, even though Sibley was largely unproductive. And I am willing to cut the team a little slack given CSU's penchant for forcing turnovers but not too much, since we have been turnover prone in every game. I will also add that Southern must have done a great job forcing those turnovers in the early 90"s games.
Until the freshmen start showing clear improvement, which may not happen this year, I think we are about to start seeing a shortened rotation, as we did against WVU, with only Dante Harris seeing the floor barring injuries, and with him only because we have no choice.

Dante Harris is a better option on offense than Jalen Harris. both in scoring option and seeing up offense. His deficiency is his defensive scheme awarenesses. His size does not help him either. He will get more comfortable as the season goes on. one of his faults on the offensive end is excessive dribbling. He seems enamored with his cross-over dribble. Does it with no plan of direction in mind. When he begins to use it to get to a spot on the court only, he will become a key player for the Hoyas. Jalen plays hard and has earned his time on the court in practice, but is lacking in scoring prowess or ability to penetrate the defense under control and either score or set up a teammate.

I hope our guys see this. It can only increase their confidence. I don’t care who Coppin State had available in our game or this one. You play whoever is on your schedule and whoever is available to play. I think we are going to be very competitive in the Friday game.

Good for Coppin State--they learned from the game and were considerably more efficient.
Here's the difference:
Anthony Tarke vs. Georgetown: 4-10, 8 pts vs. UNCG: 11-13, 33 pts
Nendah Tarke vs. Georgetown: 2-5, 7 pts vs. UNCG: 7-9, 20 pts Team FG % vs. Georgetown: 18-66, 27% vs. UNCG: 28-53, 52%
Team 3FG % vs. Georgetown: 8-38, 21% vs. UNCG: 10-25, 40%

And yes, I realized they missed a lot of open shots. I am sure they weren't intimidated by us, they played the mighty Blue Devils the week prior. I hope our team realizes how special they can be. I believe our staff can spot talent. You have no idea if players will mesh. Or you believe that some will learn to play "team ball". I digress, yes Coppin State learned well from our game.

Didn't UNCG beat us last year?...or maybe it was previous year, but unless things have changed dramatically for them, they have had pretty strong teams of late as I recall so very big win for Coppin St...
